If you are trying your hand at refurbishing furniture this is the first thing you will need! The best thing about this is that it gets you working on the fun stuff in no time. We all know that the prep is the thing that takes the most time and aside from a bit of wood fill and sanding I just want to get to the color. Applying primer seems to take forever and this sprayer just made it easier. It is lightweight so it is easy to maneuver around bulky furniture. It gives a smooth application. It is still a learning process for me. I need to get more of a feel for the sprayer and its power. I can say I did have fun with the primer. It's a handy little electric sprayer with a 1 quart reservoir with a 10-foot cord. It's balanced well for holding it and the trigger is large and easy to hold with a comfortable grip. It sounds like a small vacuum when spraying. It comes with 5 spray tips of different orifices and rubber o-rings for each tip. There is also a dial on the side, by the nozzle, to adjust the width of spray pattern. For cleaning after use (highly necessary for these operate good the next time), the nozzle section comes apart fully and the suction pipe that pulls from the reservoir comes out so all of the pieces can be cleaned individually and the interiot between the feed tube and the nozzle can be reached and seen to get any leftover paint out. They provided a few strainers and a viscosity cup to time the flow to make sure the paint is thin enough to use properly in the sprayer. They also provide a few cleaning brushes and tip cleaner pins. The instructions are basic, but cover what is necessary for use. I do recommend the sprayer for small to medium projects. ... show more

    • Great, affordable option!
This is a great sprayer for smaller projects, things like priming and painting cabinets. I would not use this on walls, as the reservoir is too small, and the tip seems like it would clog often with water-based paint, whcih tends to develop chunky bits. Because the sprayer is plastic, I wouldn't use it with oil based paint, the thinner needed to make the paint flow is likely to eat the plastic. The supplies include everything you're likely to need, minus some painter's tape. The gloves are ok, but I have to admit that I prefer biodegradable disposable gloves, it's just so much easier to pitch the gloves. Washing paint off of fabric gloves coated with rubber is not my idea of a good time. A solid, easy to use kit, that arrives carefully packaged with clear instructions. This quality sprayer has plenty of power to spray even thicker paints, but it has a single flaw that cost a star. The internal workings of the spray pump are not accessible for cleaning. You can remove the spray hose, but the hose goes into a solid housing and past this point, you cannot clean. The recommended procedure of flushing, is not effective unless you spend a very long amount of time doing it. I used white primer paint for my test, and used water to flush the unit after I did my spraying, and after almost ten minutes of flushing, there were still drips of milky colored water coming out of it, so I know there is still paint in there somewhere. I have only used the unit twice, but I am not confident that it will continue to work after a dozen or two spraying sessions. Whatever paint that is trapped in there will accumulate, no doubt, and they could have fixed this by making the entire mechanism open up so it could be properly cleaned.
