UPDATE: changed from two stars to five stars. After I left the review, the seller reached out and advised me that the version that I received was outdated, and there was actually an updated version that would address all of the issues that I have listed in my prior review. They also offered to send me the new version free of charge so I can test it out and compare it to the old one which I accept. I have now received the new version, and I can confidently say that this is a superior version to the old one in every way. First, they have changed the black plastic plate, where the two halves meet. They also fixed the screw holes so now the screws stay flushed in the holes without going too deep and damage the plate and last, but not least they have finally changed the magnets arrangement! They are now default to four strong magnets in the corners and four weaker magnets in the middle. That makes a huge change in the way fidget slides. They have also provided four extra weaker magnets and four extra strong magnets. I opened the slider up and put in the dampers to make them quieter and put on the Teflon tape. They are now one of the best infinite slider for its value and construction quality. I now highly recommend this slider to anyone whose thinking of getting into sliders as this one take inspiration from another very similar slider, which cost 10 times as much. I have shared a photo of what you received in this new version. I would recommend the seller to stop selling the old version altogether because all you’re doing is harming yourself when you have this superior version.

This is an awesome fidget; it has good weight due to the metal parts and is customizable. As someone new to fidget toys I needed something I could make quiet. Someone had gifted me an Impossible pyramid fidget toy (also awesome!) and it was driving my coworkers crazy (noisy) so I went on the search for one I could make quiet and landed on this. You can make it dead quiet by adding the silicone silencers and tape that comes with it, and it works great, it is much easier to fidget with because the silencers and tape reduces the magnetism, but the pieces also separate much easier causing more drops of half the slider. Also, anyone who likes fidget toys can also attest to how satisfying the clicking sounds are, the sounds are part of the enjoyment. I found that just removing the corner silicon silencers, that brought back some of that satisfying clicking, though not too much. It also makes the slider much more fidgetable, and flickable, which I couldn't do with all silencers and tape in place, without one of the halves flying off. Now I have a lot less drops... If you're thinking about one this is a great place to start since it's customizable to fit your needs.

Solid slider, but it doesnt come with enough magnet pads to actually make it quiet. Without a pad for each magnet, you might as well use none since it doesnt make a difference. Several of the magnets chipped after the first removal and rearrangement. This really needs to come with at least 16 magnet pads or more since they arent actually sticky and are easy to lose and would be nice if there was more than one set of Teflon tape (or have an option to buy more).

Really happy with this slider so far! Slides nice and smooth without causing any hand fatigue and the magnets have a really addictive feel and sound feedback. It is a bit noisy, but not as loud as others I've tried. The version with the metal cut out design on top comes with a tool and rubber pieces that you can make it quieter if you prefer. I can't believe how many people there are here complaining about it being noisy when they could change that if they paid even a small amount of attention. It's made with a really good design putting the more powerful magnets on the corners which allows the halves to make quick snappy turns without coming apart. There is a slight design flaw IMO, with the ones that have the cut out design on top. The smooth nameplate area is right in the center where your thumb pad goes, sometimes making it difficult to break the magnets hold because there's no texture to get a grip. I also bought one of the red "fiber lid" ones and it is much easier to get a grip and slide. Though keep in mind that version can't be made quiet like the others can. I can't comment on the durability yet as I have only had it a few days, but so far so good. Aside from the minor grip issue with the one version, this fidget slider is fantastic! I haven't been able to put it down since I got it! Edit: In my opinion, at least with the carbon fiber version, it works better if you remove the tape. It takes a little time of each side rubbing together to wear in, but once it does it's much better. It still slides smoothly but the magnets hold much better. Occasionally it may start sticking from oils or sweat on your hands but just needs wiped off if it does.

A high quality, solid, hefty slider. Strong magnets but profoundly frustrating to try and make it move like the video. Pinched skin and flying fidget. Unless you have exceptional finger strength and true legerdemain you'll likely find the same. High quality as all their products are and the only reason for less than 5 stars is just the difficulty of using in the advertised manner. If you're up for the challenge then this will be a great slider for you that should give years of good use.

It's not silent, though it's not what I would call noisy, either. It's heavier than I expected it to be, but then the only fidget toy I've ever picked up is one of those spinner doodles, and those are extremely light. This thing can catch a bit of your skin in between the pieces, so you have to be just a little bit careful of that. I've got say, the movement and the little clicking noises are oddly satisfying. I did not expect it to be quite so addictive. Oh and, it turns out my left hand is far more dexterous than I thought. I'm able to manipulate the pieces with both hands. I'm really glad I got this, though with the trouble I'm having putting it down, I'm afraid I may drive my wife crazy. She lives with me, so she was gonna get there anyway...

This one is a must buy! The quality punches way above the price! Has a great heft to it. It's slightly larger than the typical magnet slider size but not by much. Very smooth sliding with strong magnets. Looks absolutely stunning. Tuning fork inside gives it a nice distinct "ding" sound when fidgeting, which is fun! Ad this one to your collection!
