  • Ripper little tracker
Size: 6 Month
Honestly, this thing's been spot on from day one. The clip stays put no worries - never had it shift or fall off during regular activity. GPS accuracy is bloody good too; when I'm out of town the app pings me if my little guy leaves the geofence, so I know the pet sitter's actually doing their job and not just binge-watching Netflix on my couch. The signal's reliable and the alerts come through fast, which gives real peace of mind. What I didn't expect to love is the health tracking - my dog's a mini dachshund, very energetic but hard to tire out, so setting a daily step goal and seeing the city and breed leaderboards actually motivates me to take him for longer walks. Gamified dog walks. Who knew. Subscription's worth it, app's great, and I've already recommended it to about five people - including my in-laws, which means I better be right. Haven't been wrong yet. ... show more

  • Surprisingly ineffective.
Size: 6 Month
Not what I expected. Did not work for our specific situation. The technology isn't quite there yet. Read on . . . Our indoor cat figured out how to use our doggie door. I thought this might at least help notify us when she left the house, or the yard, and let us know where she is so we could track her down. It doesn't. We set up our GeoFence as small as the app would allow, which in our case was still too big. I set the app Safe Zone as close as I could the the back door. I assumed that we'd be notified if she left the house and went into the yard. Nope. On numerous occasions the past week, she was in the yard and well beyond with ZERO app notification. I was watching her every move in the yard and was clearly out the designated area set on the app, by 30 - 40 yards. Yet as I write this review, I've received three notifications from the app that she's "on the move". The tracker is sitting on the counter in our kitchen. Go figure. My car's gps is dramatically more accurate than this thing, which is why I made the incorrect assumption that this would be accurate as well. In theory, this is a great idea, but in practice, it ain't all that. The number of positive reviews surprise me as this was one reason we decided to try this product. It might be great if you have an outdoor cat and want to know where to find it if it's a few blocks or miles away. If you're trying to keep your cat from wandering away from your house or yard, look elsewhere. Returning it today. ... show more

  • Glad I purchased this!
Size: 6 Month
I got this for my miniature schnauzer that weighs about 9-10 pounds. It fit on her current collar nicely (which is a thin collar). The battery lasts about a week or a little longer. It is easy to charge and doesn't take too long; I just do it at night when I know she will be indoors. She likes to bolt when the door opens and sometimes, she was so quick, we hadn't noticed it. That was the purpose of me getting the Fi. It did track her leaving the house one day and I let my husband know that it alerted me. She actually came back home before I had noticed she was gone. It seems to function the way it is supposed to. I originally set up her "safe zone" as our entire yard - to include the front and side yard that are outside of the fence. I may go back and change that to include only the part of the yard that is in the fence so that we get notifications a little quicker. I originally had ordered the Fi Series 3, but the collar was too small to fit around her neck and the tracker and collar seemed heavy for her as a smaller dog. It was an easy return on Amazon and I am much happier with the lighter Mini tracker - I am looking forward to when the software updates for barking, etc. get updated on the Mini. The price is reasonable for what you are receiving. I really looked around before I made the purchase and had even tried another product that I wasn't as happy with. I also tried air tags, but those have their limits. Fi makes it fun to see how she compares to other dogs in my city and my state. I added my children to the app so that they can help find her too if she gets out. It is the item you never want to use but will be happy when you need to and have it. I would purchase again. Update- so the app does show her escaping sometimes when she hasn’t-don’t know what’s up with that. I would rather get over notified than not notified so I am ok with that… just makes my heart skip a beat when I think she’s not home and she is. Still happy with the purchase. Update- Now when I charge it overnight it does not charge to 100% once it didn’t charge at all and the second time it only charged to 73%. It was charging to 100% at the beginning. I am going to keep an eye on this and hopefully remember to report back. ... show more

  • Great product.
Size: 12 Month
This tracker has a better battery life than most other trackers. That was important to me. It’s very small as I own a Chiweenie and didn’t want a huge block on his neck. It’s very accurate and tells me immediately if he’s left the zone, and tells me that he’s with me on a walk. It has said he’s left the zone when he was asleep on the couch, but quickly corrected itself. Great product. ... show more

  • Lightweight Tracker With a Great App
Size: 6 Month
The Fi Mini has been a great addition for keeping tabs on my dog. It’s small, lightweight, and doesn’t bother them at all, which is a big plus. The app is very user‑friendly — easy to navigate, quick to update, and packed with useful tracking and health features. The rechargeable design is convenient and saves money over time. The only downside for me is the collar holder. It works, but it’s not as protective or secure as I’d prefer, especially for active dogs. Overall, it’s a solid, reliable tracker with great features in a compact size. ... show more

  • Worthless — lost dog and the fi couldn’t track him
Size: 6 Month
It only works if the dog is at home or within bluetooth distance of your phone. The GPS tracking just doesn’t work, and the devices shows as offline when it needs to rely on cell signal. We unfortunately found this out because our dog escaped due to a negligent dog sitter on Sunday night. While trying to locate him, the Fi still showed him his at his groomer from the day prior. Fortunately, we had an AirTag on him and it allowed us to begin tracking him, though it still didn't update often enough for us to be able to find him until three days later. The Fi updated a grand total of once during that time and had we been relying on that instead of our AirTag, we never would've found our dog. It's the biggest waste of money I've ever seen, and they should be ashamed for marketing themselves as a tracker when our reliance on them could've led to our dogs's death if we didn't also have another means of tracking him. We are so lucky to have our puppy home but it is no thanks to these shameless thieves who are praying on peoples love of their fur children. ... show more

  • Works well, wouldn’t recommend 3/4" collar application
Size: 6 Month
This product is similar to a smartwatch but for a dog. It works very well, shows me my dog’s location, sleep and other habits. The only challenge I have is that I already had a nice 3/4" custom collar for my smaller dog & even the smaller slide holding the Fi is a little loose, so the Fi actually fell out onto the floor in the house. After that, I put small pieces of duct tape on each end to help make sure the Fi is secure. ... show more
