Clean look, rock solid feel

I didn’t expect to love these as much as I do. I’ve tried a bunch of strap locks over the years—from basic rubber washers to the older locking pin styles—and these are easily the best I’ve used so far. Fender nailed it with the design. First off, the chrome finish is super clean and really matches the rest of my hardware. If you care about keeping things looking tight and matching, that alone makes these stand out. Installation was quick. Took maybe five minutes tops. The screws feel solid and I didn’t have to drill or force anything to get a proper fit. The locking mechanism itself has a really satisfying click when you lock it in, which is huge for peace of mind. I’ve had strap locks in the past that felt a little loose or janky, but these feel like they actually “lock.” No rattling, no guessing whether they’re seated properly. I’ve played a few sets with them already and haven’t had a single moment where I felt like the strap might come loose. I move around a lot when I play and trust me, if something was going to fail, it would’ve happened by now. These things hold up. Also, I appreciate how low-profile they are. They don’t stick out or feel awkward when the guitar is resting against me. They just do their job without getting in the way. That’s something I didn’t realize I cared about until now. If you’re on the fence, I’d say go for it. They’re worth the upgrade, especially if you gig or just want that extra bit of security and polish. I’ll probably pick up a second set for backup... FOR SUREEEE

They lock the strap securely without changing comfort or movement.

I installed the Fender Infinity Locks on my guitar and they work exactly as intended. Installation was quick, and once in place the strap stays secure with no slipping or noise. They don’t interfere with playing or strap length, which I appreciate. The build feels solid, and the black finish looks clean and durable after regular use. This is a simple upgrade that adds peace of mind when playing. Overall, these are a reliable, well-made strap lock set I’d buy again.

Nice But They Stick Out

Most of my guitar are fitted with the Loxx Strap Lock so I will use those as a point of reference and comparison: LOCK FEATURE Once locked the Fender Infinity Lock go nowhere just as the Loxx Strap Locks. However the Fender Infinity Locks take a little more fiddling to engage them and to remove them. With the Loxx Strap Lock you just bring them on top of the button and press a little and they are engaged. To disengage you just press the little button on top of the "mushroom head" and they are off. A lot easier than to locate the 2 buttons on each lock to engage and to disengage. Winner: Loxx Strap Locks. EASY TO INSTALL The portion that gets screwed into the guitar body is installed about the same way with both Fender and Loxx locks. Both have screws that are a little bigger than the original generic strap buttons. Highly recommended to use some beeswax on the threads to make your job a lot easier. The Fender lock are lacking the little felt pad that goes between the metal body and the body of the guitar. You reuse the old one but depending on the age of your guitar they maybe crushed to a paper thin disk. The Loxx lock provide new felt pads. Winner: Loxx Strap Locks. The part that is installed on the strap itself, again is installed in similar ways. The Fender locks have the threaded stud with a smaller diameter than the corresponding part on the Loxx locks. It is also a little longer which makes it easier to push it thru the strap hole. The Loxx locks use a part that looks like a washer with the hole having a small threaded shoulder. It is a little more difficult to place this part over the strap hole with the little shoulder going thru the hole and hold it in place while you star threading the outside lock portion. Winner: Fender Infinity Locks. Overall: Tie. VALUE FOR MONEY One would expect that the Value for Money of these locks to be similar since in effect they are similar locks. Fender locks seem to take the edge here with the Loxx locks being unavailable or in some cases being shipped from Amazon UK. Winner: Fender Infinity Locks. LOOKS The Fender locks look nice on the guitar strap. The Fender logo is visible. But they are sticking out from the body of the guitar quite a lot. If you store your Fender guitar in a case you might have to remove the strap or else the guitar might not fit. The Loxx locks are do not have a flashy look and their logo can only be seen from a close look. They are smaller, adding a minimal amount above the strap. You should have no trouble storing your Fender guitar in a hard-shell case. Winner: Tie.

Big and bulky and possibly week at the screws.

The quality is great but they are big and bulky compared to others. I was worried about the screws breaking due to them sticking out of the guitar so far and the screws are approximately 1/8in diameter not including the threads. So if you have a solid body guitar such as an Ibanez with an ash body or a Gibson LP solid body I would be worried about them breaking while moving around on stages. Other then that they are good looking .

Really nice for the price

These are big! They do feel solid, heavy and feel like a high quality product. I out these on a squire I upgraded everything on and they match it perfect.

Not especially impressed, but they're not as awful as everyone says.

I bought these because I wanted an easy way to remove the strap from my guitar for transport. I'm admittedly less concerned about the guitar falling out of the strap, but extra security isn't a bad thing. These appealed to me because they look nice with the F insignia and because I like the simple interface with the two buttons. As expected it's very easy to put the strap on and remove it from the guitar. The two main complaints others seem to have with these don't bother me so much: Yes, the latch is not a "snug" fit and you can wiggle the lock around in the button. That's fine with me, I like the extra freedom of movement; it adjusts better to my posture. And yes, the strap sits an inch or so away from the guitar body. I like that the strap won't grind away at my finish over time. I suppose I'd like it better if it were a little closer to the body but it really doesn't bother me either way. I have other complaints: 1) The way in which the lock fastens itself to the button just doesn't instill any confidence in me at all. The guitar's life hangs in the balance by some very, very tiny ball bearings. There are 70 year old Fender Stratocasters in this world. I do not trust these to last 70 years. I may not even trust them to last 7 days if I were doing lots of gymnastics on stage every night. 2) The screw heads are just too small for the size of the screw. I don't want to have to force the screwdriver into the screw head with tons of force when installing these. A torx head or such would be more welcome. 3) Fender should include some felt pads to sit between the button and the finish like other strap buttons do. I have another guitar with Fender's version of the Schaller S locks and those just seem fool-proof and fail-safe compared to these. I just bought a set of real Schallers and, if the screw from these Infinity locks works with those (and it looks like it will) I'll probably switch to those instead. Fender needs to redesign these. I have no idea who looked at these and said "yep this will instill confidence in our loyal customers" but that person was wrong.
