She uses to compartments for her skates, and then the extra compartment to store anything she would like to bring skating. For the price, this is a good bag. I got this for my daughter's roller blades. They fit just fine with extra room for all her safety gear. I don't expect it to last for years, but it's inexpensive. One thing that I didn't pay attention to before ordering was the mesh sides. This could be great for someone with super sweaty feet to let the skates air out, but I ordered the bag to keep her blades dry and clean in between uses since they are stored in our garage. I had a pair of size 7 hockey skates whose blade sheaths I misplaced. I needed a safe way to store them and this bag is just right. The bag is of decent quality, though not the thickest. There is a center zipper section where the skates go and then two mesh outer pockets . The bag is great for my smaller skates but I'm not sure they would accommodate much larger skate sizes. This is perfect for carrying & storing your skates and all the padding gears. It has 3 compartment, two for the blades and one in the middle for the paddings. The fabric is a little thin but it's well made and it was easy to fit my son's rollerblades in them. The only unknown is its durability which we will see & why I only rated it at 4 star. This is an inexpensive bag, so it's not surprising it isn't of the highest quality. That said, it's not bad. There's ample room for some additional items like pads. There is a carry handle and a shoulder strap. One small complaint is that the shoulder strap is somewhat in the way of the main compartment. It's certainly not a deal breaker, though. I got this skate bag for roller skates. I couldn't tell exactly how it works from the listing pics, so the skates go in the outer mesh pockets on either side, and there is a middle section that holds all the protective pads and equipment. It's nicely designed, zips to close, and has an adjustable shoulder strap. The shoulder strap is a little weak and uncomfortable for heavy skates, but does function. Love that the sides are mesh so the skates can breathe, and it protects the skates from banging together so much more than sticking them in a tote bag which was my prior method. ... show more
