It has a fitted waist, slight A-line, slit along left leg, hits me at mid calf, very cute tie front with a small peekaboo of inner/under boob, the back is stretchy, the material is nice and silky, and this pattern is so pretty and elegant. I recently lost 40 lbs and this was the first new piece of clothing I bought myself, and I’m so glad I did. I was hesitant when I first opened it because of how thin it is, but that’s the nature of a slip dress and the material is actually very silky and comfortable. The color and pattern are true to the images and beautiful. If you hold it up to the light you can slightly see light through it, it isn’t see through but it is black so maybe keep that in mind if you’re considering a lighter color. It isn’t sheer though by any means so not really a concern. The size is spot on and fits me like a glove! I’m a size large but have very itty bitties and the top didn’t only fit me (since it’s tied/adjustable) but even gave me a hint of cleavage which I NEVER get! Oh and it snatches your waist without being tight. I plan on wearing this on my honeymoon in Italy—having to pack lightly means things need to be versatile which it definitely is. It could be a casual dress or dressed up for an event and I plan to do both. Since it’s a slip dress and not very thick by nature, it’s probably best for Spring/Summer/Early fall wear but would look great with a blazer or cardigan too. I will say that I purchased this dress on sale for $36 but it is usually closer to $50. I do not think this dress is worth $50 and I might not have kept it for that price. $30-$40 seems like a more appropriate price range for this dress, not to say it isn’t nice but just a bit overpriced. That being said, if it goes on sale again then I would be very inclined to buy one in another color! (The close up pic of the fabric/pattern is slightly blurry because of me/my camera, not because of the fabric. I'm currently 9 months post-partum, 5'2 and 165 lbs. Purchased a large. Fits beautifully! You'll want to have a steamer on hand because it was definitely super wrinkled when I opened the package. It looks and feels like a high quality, lightweight summer dress. The colors are on point with what you see in the photo. The fit is also great (I'm smaller on top with bigger hips) - the adjustable top knot and straps really help to make the dress customizable to your size, which if you're shaped like I am, you know that's a huuuuuge plus. Hoping this helps you ladies. This is my new favorite dress!!! It fits perfectly. I am 5'4" and 158lbs. I bought a Large. This dress is slimming and kinda sexy but in a classic way. Adjustable spaghetti straps and front peek-a-boo tie accommodate for any chest size. The length and slit are very modest, but again kinda sexy. My only negative is the material.
