I loved the book. I felt understood, empowered, guided, and encouraged. With 30 different authors who are foster parents and adoptive parents and 30 different topics, it touched on so many experiences I've had and felt, or had with my children. It helped me refocus on what was important and gave me a newer vision and perspective. There was no judgement, only compassion and understanding. Cry, laugh, feel understood. I recommend this to other adoptive parents in the trenches all the time. I actually had this on my kindle and realized I needed to have a physical copy of this book as it is so dear to me and just hits home daily. I’m cheap- I don’t waste $. Being that there was a free version and I OPTED to pay for a physical copy hopefully conveys to you how dear, special, and encouraging this book is! Many of the others have their own websites that offer more encouragement. This book is super valuable in many ways :-) I pray it encourages you! When i bought this book I was in the depths of depression, looking for any help to pull me out. This book helped revive my faith and retire my hope. As an adoptive parent the guilt of things being so hard is so real! I didn’t want any attention on me, but I needed to know others had been through something similarly. Once I started reading this book it was hard to put down. The experiences shared within are very relevant to many adoption stories. The authors do an amazing job of taking the challenging parts of parenting kids from hard places and bringing those to the Hope found in Jesus Christ.
