It has two speeds, and I started on the lower one because it feels gentler. The little tweezers inside pull the hair out, so the first minutes do feel a bit sharp, but after I used it a few times, I got used to it. I tried it on my legs and arms first. It works, but you have to go slowly over the same area to make sure everything is removed. It did leave my skin smooth afterward, and there was no strange smell or anything like that. I use the high speed on my legs and a lower setting on my underarms and face, making it very easy to use. Best of all, the hair removal power is just right.
