They are sturdy and seem quite well made. I didn’t need 5 pairs, but what a deal for the money so I now have many spares. The sunglasses might be good for reading in the sunlight. Can’t say how long they hold up since I just got them, but I would order them again. For this price if they last a year I’d be happy! They are mostly metal so I think they will hold up longer than the plastic ones they are replacing.

I carry my readers in my jeans pockets which is hard on plastic frames. These metal frames hold up very well to my abuse. The finish and fit are excellent.

These are not bad glasses, but not sure where all the fantastic reviews are coming from. The lenses are not glass as some people mention and not very scratch resistant. In fact, mine had some scratches right out of the box and are not extremely clear. The frame quality and fit are good and these are about what I expected given the price. Also note that the nose pads on these reek of a strong chemical oder.

Readers normally last me about a month before the hinge breaks or the lenses get so scratched I can stand to look through them any more. Not these! I've been wearing one pair for months and it has been perfect. No scratches, no broken hinges. One complaint- the plastic ear and nose pieces are slippery and the glasses tend to slip down my nose. I solved that problem by putting some silicone tubing over the ear pieces. If the manufacturer made these glasses with silicone ear and nose pieces they would be perfect!
