We got this for a younger member of our family who's interested in learning to apply makeup. They have the guidance of our older children, and are using this set. It's a decent basic set - comes with everything you need to 'put your face on'. None of the brushes or components are top notch, but for the price, it's about what you'd expect. Same with the makeup - no problems really for starter makeup. This is a good way to jump into this.

This is a cute little beginner’s kit with a basic collection of shadow colors and eyeliners. It would work decently for a travel set, but I think the real benefit is for a teenager just learning how to apply makeup - they get to learn the technique without spending a lot of money on pricey products, and the quality of Color Nymph’s products are good enough that they can get respectable results. The eyeshadows are not richly pigmented, so if you want bright and vibrant color, you may have to apply multiple layers. The black eyeliner is really nice and gave results much better than I would have guessed for this price point.

It is a small travel makeup kit that is exactly as pictured. I'm not sure why there are 2 steps with different brushes in the mascara but I'm assuming it has something to do with volume. The way the eye shadow goes on is very sheer in my opinion (on bare skin) and to get a good coloring I had to put quite a few layers on. It does work better with a primer to stick to and gives a deeper color. I'm pale, so this should have really shown up, especially with the darker shades. Its a cute little kit, but I feel like to hit the mark of "travel" makeup, you need to take it out of the storage box it came in and put it in a separate bag. If not, it kind of defeats the purpose of being a small kit with the advantage or portability.

This kit is great for traveling and it has a beautiful eyeshadow assortment palet that would work with any complexion. The colors are accurate that as shown on the product description page. The eyeliner is black and the brow pencil is gray with a spoolie on the other end. Normally with gray, you outline with a darker color and then the middle is gray just to give it more definition. The eyeliner seems more transfer proof than the brow pencil. The mascara also is a very nice quality. It is compact for either keeping it at your home or for traveling. It is a good price for this makeup kit, however what would have made it perfect - if they would have included a few eyeshadow brushes in the kit - even if they were small in size. What should have been included is a demonstration card. On the product listing towards the bottom, it does show you several different beautiful looks using their eyeshadows. I would have liked to have seen that on a demonstration card included in the package.

This set is pretty great. I love that it comes in a gift able box and the quality of shadows is pretty good for the price. The eyeshadows are smooth, much more pigmented than other products but the same brand. I love that you get eyeliner, mascara, and a brow pencil. This is a great first time eyeshadow kit for beginners in makeup. The eyeliner is rich black and glides on smooth. I definitely think this set is better than other ones I've tried recently.
