The faceplate color is as described. It’s very pretty! It also fits perfectly and is soft. The only complaint that I have is the side rails were very difficult to get off. The plastic tool kept slipping out and scratching the back of my controller. I did watch videos before purchasing and it definitely seemed easier than when I attempted it. I'm not a gamer. I'm not good with electronics. I don't build stuff. I do use small parts and tiny screwdrivers for my job, so I had that going for me. I bought the replacement face plate, buttons, and joysticks to personalize my Xbox controller that came with my Xbox, so I'll be cross-posting this review for all of the items that went into it. It came out great and I'm super proud of myself. I didn't think I had it in me prior to buying the items, but watching the tutorial from beginning to end convinced me that I could. These turned out fantastic! It's awesome that they include they screwdriver and even include new screws. The fit and finish feels like they cam from the factory this way. My daughters also 100% approve. I will be ordering another one for a controller build of my own.

I bought more than just the face shell, I bought a whole kit that I custom made with different parts all from eXtremeRate, and I will say that these parts look nice, and are decent replacements for your controller. However the plastic that these are made out of is not nearly worth the price. I paid overall about $80 for all of the parts (custom home button colored stickers included) and that is just way too high of a price for such cheap materials. eXtremeRate needs to either use better materials or go down in price. Other than that, the controller looks nice, but I do expect for it to be extremely scratched up over time. If they used the plastic Microsoft uses, it would be no problem. I also do wish that it had the new textured plastic that Microsoft uses for the Xbox Series X/S controllers. ... show more
