This board game is entertaining and simple to play. Two to eight players move their marbles around the board by playing cards. The goal is for a player to move all five of their marbles from their starting area to their home area. Each card has its own value that either moves your piece(s) forward, backward, and switch positions with another piece. There is a fair amount of strategy deciding which cards in your playing hand to play. The instructions do a mostly decent job of explaining the rules, but tends to overcomplicate a few elements and doesn't explain how the board is setup. My girlfriend and I played a two-player game where we set four game paddles in a square shape and we played with one deck without Joker cards. We had an entertaining time strategically moving some early pieces backwards and swapping pieces with each other. Rather than moving all of our marbles around the board, we opted to utilize the different card values to effectively get our marbles near our home area quickly. The game paddles are nicely crafted from wood and have a colorful clown painted on each. The marbles have soft candy-like colors and look great, but the playing cards feel a bit cheap and thin. The paddles link together well changing the size of the play area. The game is well packaged with convenient storage for the marbles. I would highly recommend this game for its entertaining gameplay, simplicity, and strategic elements!

I was immediately impressed by the quality of the wooden pieces in this set, and the care with which it seemed to be created. The clowns are about 1 cm thick, and feel sturdy. That said, before the end of our first night of playing, one clown lost a thumb. (Kids roughhousing!) I was told to include in my review that the (plastic) marbles are beautiful colors, and I don't disagree with that assessment. Ok, down to why it only gets four stars... the actual gameplay. I truly love how the game board converts nicely from anywhere from 3 to 8 players. It takes the game of "Wahoo!" that I played as a kid, and makes it perfectly customizable, rather than be limited to a 4-player board. The problem is that an increase in the number of players means the game. drags. on. It's not very fast paced to begin with, and while I'm not knocking casual, chatty games, if it's not your turn, there really isn't much to do here. We had 5 adults playing, and it felt like we needed to have something else to do until it was our turn again. We ended up only playing until one person scored two marbles home, then called it a done deal. That took about 45 minutes. I can only imagine how long it would take a group of 8 players to finish a full game, or what it would be like trying to maintain the focus of one or more children on this game! Maybe we'll try again another game night, but with no more than 4 players. Oooh, that could work! instead of one 8-player game, we could divide the set into two games of 4 or fewer players. This seems like a simple enough game, however a very important part of the set-up is not mentioned in the directions. The directions state that each player gets a game paddle and play proceeds from there. They neglected to say that the paddles connect together to form a large octagon. Once you know that, it is easy to play using cards to know how many spaces to move. Each card has a difference action, so each person has a card telling what the different cards can do. Fun once you sort everything out. The paddles are made of wood and brightly illustrated with clown faces, the marbles are contained in a plastic sorting box, and there are 3 decks of cards. A fitted tote bag is also provided, though that would be nice if it had a zipper to close it. All in all, I like it, and I'm sure my grandchildren and I will enjoy playing it.

This is a fun little game that is unique but similar to other games [cards, marbles, etc]. Easy to learn and can be played with a wide range of ages. Although it comes in cute, sturdy self-contained box which could be used as storage, an awesome canvas bag with a nice long strap. I appreciate that there is a laminated card-value cheat-sheet provided for each player. Clever, easy family time!

This is a nice quality game. The boards are made of a sturdy wood so it will last. The clowns are cute with the hands interlocking to hold the board in place. The game itself is similar to the game sorry, but with more strategy involved since you get to choose your play from cards and are on teams. Different cards have special moves available which are displayed on a placard in front of each player, this is a nice touch. A two person game took about 20 minutes, a four person game took us an hour. The four person game was more fun as you get to conspire with your teammate. It can go up to 8 people but only in even intervals, no 3 or 5 person version unless someone plays two slots. The drawback is some of the marbles are too close in color to tell apart during gameplay when they are spread across the board, specifically the pinks and greens, photo above. Everything fit nicely in the box, but the box doesn't fit in the canvas bag, so the bag isn't required. Overall everyone had fun playing, it is a good family or group game.
