    • An excellent Kindle edition of the Westminster Reference Bible.
Format: Kindle
I recently added the eWestminster Reference Bible 1.0, a Kindle edition of the Westminster Reference Bible published by the Trinitarian Bible Society (TBS), to my collection of eBibles. This is the King James Version of the Holy Bible containing (according to TBS) over 200,000 cross-references. It is, in every respect, excellent. In the eWestminster Reference Bible 1.0, the Bible’s text is set in the traditional verse format, making it easy to read and memorize verses. As with most Kindle editions of the Bible, the text font is fully adjustable to different styles and sizes. Navigating through this Bible is simple and straightforward. Cross-references and the original translators’ notes are located at the end of each chapter. I can access them by clicking or touching the superscript cross-reference or note indicators located within the text. By clicking or touching the “back” button, I return to the text where I left off. There is a disclaimer on the eWestminster Reference Bible 1.0 product page that states: “Due to the references and functional features [this edition] will not work on Kindle devices that are older than 5th Generation or firmware older than 5.6.1.1.” Because of this, and because I have an older, second-generation Kindle Fire HD7, I was hesitant to buy the eWestminster Reference Bible 1.0. I figured I might as well give it a try anyway, and I’m glad I did. It turns out it works perfectly on all my Kindle devices and apps. I really like the eWestminster Reference Bible 1.0. It responds to my inputs smoothly and quickly, features easy navigation, and contains a cross-reference system that is bigger and better than any I’ve found in other KJV Bibles, either print or ebook. Highly recommended. ... show more

    • An excellent electronic KJV Bible from TBS.
Format: Kindle
I have always preferred TBS Bibles above all others because TBS distributes and defends the original Bible in the original languages as well as distributes uncorrupted translations of the original Bible, including the venerable Authorised (King James) Version. I have hardcopies of the Westminster Reference Bible and I consider this eWestminster Reference Bible to be very user friendly to read and use. It has a real time dictionary that only requires download for the first time. I thanked GOD for all my wonderful Bibles from TBS. Thanks also to the TBS team for making this eWestminster Reference Bible possible. I downloaded this eWestminster Reference Bible and I am glad I did. ... show more

    • Very easy to read and navigate, but there is a quirk.
Format: Kindle
I really wanted a good text-only KJV for my Kindle with easy navigation, but that is difficult to find. I was able to find this version of my favorite printed KJV, the Westminster. I love having the references available, and linked to the text so I can quickly go to the reference. I wish that they could set it up so that cross references and archaic word definitions opened in a pop-up on my iPad, versus scrolling to the end of the chapter. That would just make it easier to navigate. As it is, if you tap on the superscript "p" for example, you're taken to the end of the chapter with the huge list of references for the whole chapter, and have to remember you wanted the references beside the "p". Then when you're done with the references or note, you have to scroll back. Some other Bibles on the Kindle have it so that these features open in a pop-up, making it much easier to go back to the text when you're done with the reference or note - just close the pop-up. If TBS could fix this issue, I'd be very happy. I still think it's the best Kindle KJV available, but it could be the perfect Kindle Bible with that change. ... show more

    • Nice font size and style. Great cross reference bible
Format: Kindle
Absolutely love this bible. The font size and style is easy to see and read. The pages are thick enough so that you do not see a lot of ghosting. The cover is fairly smooth and thick enough that it is flexable but doesn't just flop all over the place. It seems like it will be more durable than goat skin. Because it has great cross references I use it with other versions of the bible. It is the best cross reference bible that I've seen. If they made this in red letter it would be great. And if they made it in NKJV it would be wonderful. After using this bible with the feel and durability of it, I would rather have this than a goat skin bible. ... show more

    • Poor structure and presentation
Format: Kindle
I bought this bible because I trust Trinitarian bible society. But this needs some work. By the time you get to the books of Samuel Kings and Chronicles you'll understand what i mean. they need to make this work properly on kindle app. But I will say that I'm using the app on my phone, so maybe that's the problem. ... show more
