  • Overall a great motherboard - BUT...
Style: DARK
Overall this is a very well built and very stable motherboard, with high quality components. The BIOS is extremely easy to navigate, and can adjust settings very quickly. Had no trouble identifying my (2) M.2 drives on initial setup, and overall setup took minutes. Another great feature is the BIOS dipswitch so that if you ever do something so horribly wrong to the BIOS that you can't get back in, you can flip the switch to a different BIOS setting. I really had to struggle to not give 5 stars and knock off a star for this but for ME this is extremely important. Coming from an ASUS ROG Maximus XI Formula (which was riddled with bugs from the BIOS) it did have the SupremeFX chip for sounds which is a night and day difference than what this motherboard offers. I am finding that even with the EQ and other settings, installing other sound adjusting apps, it still is very weak in terms of clarity and overall ambience of sound. I will be purchasing a separate card for sound because of this. SO something to keep in mind....Is it a dealbreaker? Not really but it is like going from a decent soundbar setup to your TV speakers when it comes to sound. Only con I have. ... show more

  • No USB-C connection for tower
Style: FTW
My only dislike of this motherboard is there is no USBC or dual USB second generation connector so those two wires for my PC tower are not connected and I use them a lot.

  • Pricey
Style: DARK
Aside from how expensive it is, definitely a nice motherboard to have. Easy to install, and a lot of room to add your stuff in.

  • EVGA makes outstanding pc parts.
Style: FTW
Never have been able to complain about an evga product. This mobo is great! There are only a few x570 mobos nicer than this and the price tag is way higher.

  • Interesting but not Compelling
Style: FTW
I'm writing this review on Amazon, even though I purchased directly from EVGA. (EVGA has no reviews on their website? Weird.) I bought this board as part of the DIY configurator, and received a slight discount. I was really unwilling to buy at full price, given the feature set is very similar to other mainstream enthusiast boards. My must-haves were an AM4 socket, passively cooled VRM, and two M.2 slots for SSDs. I generally don't overclock, but I do look for boards that are built a little more robustly than the cheaper variants. My likes: *Solid construction. Heavy duty! *Plenty of fan headers, and spread among the geography of the board so I didn't have to make any long runs. *Exceptional passive cooling. *Extremely well packaged. My dislikes: *Many of the connectors (USB 3.0, power reset/switch) face OUTBOARD, in plane with the board. (As opposed to perpendicular.) I had a really hard time making connections in my case, which has plenty of room. There are a couple of connections I couldn't make without unscrewing my PSU, and the USB 3.0 header is under a slight bend. Suboptimal. *For a $500 board, there is no EVGA software to control case fans. You have to make changes in the UEFI/BIOS, which is a pain to dial in. To turn off the RGB, you have to install EVGAs Eleet software. If you want to tune an EVGA graphics card, you have to install the EVGA Precision X1 program. We seriously can't get an all-in one program to do this stuff? *As you might have noticed, there really aren't enough rear I/O USB slots. I bought this board knowing I was going to use them all based on my previous setup. There really need to be at least two more, and I think there is real estate to do so. Based on the above, I certainly wouldn't buy this board at full price, although I DO like it. There are some offerings from other manufacturers which to the same thing for a slightly lower cost. ... show more
