  • More than just graphics
Size: FTW3 Ultra Style: Graphic Card Only
It's a great card and you can get high end benchmarks with it but it is more. I noticed it has a USB-C port and tried it with an external SSD drive. 500 Mbs for a while then drops to a little over 200 Mbs. That's really fast.

  • Perfect for gaming and streaming
Size: XC Style: Graphics Card
This is a very powerful card (roughly double the performance of my previous card - a 1060 6 GB EVGA with only 1 fan) I mostly game on a 1080p, 60hz monitor w/ a second monitor for streaming to Twitch. My previous setup was using the CPU for live stream encoding as the previous card's NVENC encoder was fine, but not great. So my intention was that this new card allow me to use the NEW NVENC encoder to free up my CPU plus give me a little boost for 1080p gaming as well. I was absolutely floored by how much of an improvement I saw. I maxed out settings for most of my games - (SubNautica is a fav) but, beyond the additional quality, the response time improved & the load times for animations and the smoothness of those animations improved greatly - beyond what I anticipated. The games didn't just look better, they felt faster and more responsive. For Folding@home projects, this card could complete the same task as my old one in about half the time. Overall, my system is now quieter, cooler, and faster. speaking of card noise, I can't hear it at all over the sound of my usual case fans. I don't hear any coil whine or fan noise, but to be fair, I have a nice large case that could be shielding the sound, and I have a lot of fans including the AIO water cooler that could be masking it. Overall, a great card and a good deal for the price. ... show more

  • Impressive improve over 1070
Size: XC Style: Graphics Card
Bought this as an upgrade of my old MSI GTX 1070 which still runs strong but is obviously reaching its limit. This card immediately boosts my fps in COD MW by around 40% at 1080p ultra setting. Like my old 1070, it's very quiet as well the fan is barely audible even under load. At a price of merely $20 more than the founder's edition and with the excellent reputation of EVGA, the card is certainly an no-brainer for me. I used to be a fan of Radeon and had their R9 380 and R9 460. Was thinking about buying a 5700xt but eventually did not bother partially due to the ray-tracing capability and partially due to the driver concern. Very happy with the card so far and would definitely recommend it. ... show more

  • Installed easily and it works. EVGA is pretty reliable with their GPUs. Fans are a little loud.
Size: XC Style: Graphics Card
I didn't have any issue installing the card and everything worked great when running it. The fans on the GPU are a little on the loud side, though. I recognize this when I first turned the PC on. I haven't ran any 'intense' games yet to cause them to run at a high fan rate so I can't say for sure how often they they would trigger to do this. I'd imagine it would get pretty annoying if they constantly were kicking into a high fan rate but then again, if you are wearing a headset while you are gaming you wouldn't take notice to it. ... show more

  • Very nice reference board card for the price
Size: XC Style: Graphics Card
Had originally gotten an ASUS 2060 Super STRIX to replace my aging 1070 but the difference was minor. Stepped up to the cheapest known brand 2070 Super I could find and this is where I wanted to be for sure. All the complaints about coil whine made me nervous and I've experienced it myself with EVGA in the past. If I put my head by my case, there is minor whine around 120fps but it's nothing that I can hear from my chair so I'm all good. This card does get a little warm and does ramp up a little louder than the STRIX cards but again it's not bad and my build is made to be as quiet as possible so I'm a big critic of any unwanted noise. Overall a quality purchase and if your between a 2060 super or 2070 super, spend the extra $80-100, it's worth it. ... show more

  • Great performance, but not as value-oriented as AMD.
Size: XC Style: Graphics Card
I originally bought the RX 5700 XT, but AMD's driver issues led me to return. I got this instead. The goal was 1440p gaming at 60 fps with graphics settings maxed in games like Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Control, and this delivers (really overdelivers; you can do 1440p raytracing with this card, though maybe with dips into the 50s). You could easily get to 100+ fps in many less-demanding games, or by playing at high settings instead of ultra. But this is still $100 more than the RX 5700 XT. It's more powerful, and supports ray-tracing, but you really only need it if you want MAXIMUM 1440p graphics or if you want to play at super high refresh rates. Your value may vary, depending on what you care about. Also, the Nvidia control panel is much more usable and flexible than AMD's current software. That may matter to you (I like the convenience and how everything just works). As for this particular model: - Zero rpm fan mode works well, letting the card be silent for normal use. - Maxes out at 71 degrees after gaming at full load for hours. - Even at 1800rpm, the fans aren't super loud. - The lighting is nice, but the colors are a little muted. - So far, very little sag. - A good size for this kind of power. Not a giant card like some others, especially for its thermal performance. - EVGA precision X1 partner software (for controlling the lighting, fan curves, and overclocking) is really nice and easy to use. ... show more
