This cooler can carry a lot, I mean it's great as far as carrying capacity goes. However, if ur needs are 4 something truly leakproof keep searching. I ordered this 4 our recent vacation in Mena, Arkansas. Our son brought a friend so carrying enough drinks 2 stay properly hydrated in the July heat was going 2b a challenge (2 adults & 2 boys aged 12 & 13, so might as well say 4 grown folks bc these 2 kiddos can put away some capri suns & body armor). My husband kept his "adult" beverages in his hard cooler along with bottles of water. In this cooler I fit an incredible amount of snacks & beverages, just unbelievable how much I got in it. I used ice & a few slim 4"x4" reuseable/refreezeable ice packs. The pockets on the top & sides were awesome 4 granola bars, sanitary wipes, napkins, headache medicine, bug spray...all the things u need riding the ATV trails 4 an extended period of the day. Being the only female, I had special needs that's the dudes did not since I'm not cool with being smelly & funky all day & I'm not accustomed 2 peeing outdoors. So a variety of wipes were needed...🤣 If it were leakproof, it would b perfect. If I happen 2 find another that's really leakproof, then I might replace it but I'd b hard pressed 2 find another that can hold this many drinks! 4 stars, I took away 1 star since it did end up leaking. But we were in a side by side for over 5 hours in the July heat so maybe in different conditions idk... But it did keep 2 adults & 2 (almost full grown) boys from going thirsty, hungry & stinky while riding the trails of Wolfpen Gap this July. ... show more

    • If turned over cooler it is not water tight.
So far so good. I purchased this backpack cooler specifically for the beach. For what I use it for it was perfect. 5 to 6 hours at the beach with a 12 pack of something and about 8 bottles of water and snacks and sandwiches with plenty of room left for ice. Now it says up to 24 hours it will retain the ice. More like some ice. If it was in a controlled environment it probably would keep the ice for 24 hours however I believe I was at like 8 or 9 hours with very little ice left. But I am in Florida 98 degrees with 90% humidity so there is that. If your looking for something less expensive that’s just for the beach for ease of use you should be good with this. ... show more

This bag is absolutely perfect. Never once has leaked and fits more than enough food and alcohol. I am often at the lake or on my paddle board so having this backpack style has really helped with carrying my board and my beverages. We also take this to parties when people say BOB.     • The straps are weak, but the bag itself works.
I bought this a few weeks ahead of an out-of-city softball tournament I was preparing to go to which my roommate was participating in. The day came that we were departing, I followed the instructions to a T. Filled the bag half of the way with ice and then adding the beverages to where the bag was 3/4 full in total, leaving enough vacant room that melting wouldn't cause spillage. This was working, ice and soda can be pretty heavy though. 2nd day of the tournament / 3rd day of the trip overall, the left strap on the bag tore at the top. Not much I could do, it was past the return window and I was all the way out in another city. I haven't used it since. Without both straps fully functional, it's very difficult to move around without a cart or a dolly. However, it's still getting 4 stars because it does still accomplish the basic function of the backpack, which is to keep beverages cold for extended periods of time. We loved having this to take to the beach, it was little weighted when filled BUT it beat dragging a cooler through the sand! Kept drinks and snacks cold, didn’t leak. Only suggestion, don’t get sunburned on your shoulders when you have to carry it back. Lol Happy with this purchase.

It’s comfortable to carry as a backpack large cushioned straps. Watertight although I haven’t tried with just ice, I use the freezer blocks. So far I’m pleased with it!
