I wasn't sure about this dress due to the reviews, but I admit that this review may be a bit longer than most so you have a better description. I am thrilled with this purchase and it's EXACTLY what I was seeking for to wear at my great nephew's' high end wedding and reception with a guest list of 200 people. I'm 5'2" tall and weigh 153 lbs. I got this dress in a size 16 so it wouldn't fit tight at all. This size fits me good on other dresses I've ordered before from other companies, and I wanted this dress to hang on me nicely from head to toe. This purchase is a 1st time purchase fom this company for me, and it won't be my last! The price was a bit scary, but I wanted a color and style that I knew would make me feel very confident. After all, my niece is wearng a stunning full length gown with beautiful embellisments, and she looks gorgeous! This wedding is going to be both wonderful and sad at the same time. 3 months ago, my sister passed away quite unexpectedly and my brother and I couldn't fly down to NC to be with her and her family while she was in ICU, and for her funeral. So, she'll be there in spirit with us, but you can see why I needed to feel fabulous and confident in what I was going to wear. The dress arrived on Tuesday, the week of the wedding, and I do need to take it to the cleaners for pressing out the wrinkles. It's 100% polyester and the lining is perfect and fits exactly the same as the dress. I look extremely good in teal, and this dress is truly teal. When I tried it on with my front closure bra, the girls on top stayed in place, and the v-neck is made so smooth and with enough material that you don't need a safety pin to close it. I haven't purchased a dress at this price for some time. I must say that I'm thrilled with this purchase and would rate it a 10 out of 10 if I could!! I felt no remorse paying for this dress due to Amazon's refund policy. With my height and no shoes the back length comes to appx 2 inches above my ankle. Perfect length! My 15 yr old wore this for her school semi-formal and it was perfect for her theme and the color was beautiful. The fabric did remain a little wrinkled even after hanging for a couple weeks, but wasn’t horrible. The zipper though was extremely hard and kept feeling like I’d break it trying to get it to go up past the waistline. This never got smoother and hopefully doesn’t bust the seams dancing. The style was beautiful though. The sizes do run super snug though. We ordered a size 10 (which the tag says this is an XL for a size 10). She’s 140 and 5’5”. I’d suggest sizing one size up because it fit her very closely. There are built in cups in the chest so could easily be worn without a bra if needed but didn’t add a lot of padding on top of one when worn. This dress was just as beautiful in person as it was described. Wore to a wedding in Scotland in September- was the perfect weight. I wanted a blue that wasn't too deep of a navy, yet not as bright as a cobalt - this blue was just right to match the blue in my husband's kilt. It packed well, just needed a quick touch up with a steamer. I ended up putting in a small stitch to keep it from gaping with the deep-v and added a ribbon belt that tied in the back, which added just a little extra something (and added a little to the back, as well). I wore a bra underneath since I didn't have enough to fill the top as-is (some of you ladies may not have this issue!). Great fit & flare style for those of us pear-shaped ladies. I ended up wearing it for a full 12 hours, including a few hours of dancing, and it was comfortable the entire day! Fits true to size. Well worth the money, too! ... show more

I own this dress in black in a size 10. Fits amazing with just enough room to spare. Bought it in dusty blue for a wedding. When 2 people were finally able to get it zipped, I could barely breathe. Now I have to spend the whole day tomorrow doing what I hate the most, shopping in person. Don't think that you can buy one and then buy another in a different color because these are cheaply made dresses that don't follow a pattern. What a disappointment. ... show more

I bought so many dresses and this one was the winner. I loved the flow and movement of the dress being a high low. The fabric was excellent quality. It’s lined throughout and has built in bra cups but I still wore a bra to fill it in better. I like the sheer sleeves. I did have my seamstress tack the whole chest so I wouldn’t be fidgeting with making sure my breasts weren’t hanging out. The original stitch on the chest was ready to come undone. I also had a bit of the fabric taken out from the waist down as I felt it was a little excessive on my hips- just poofed out a little too much making my hips look a little wider. I’m 5’6 and 155 pounds and typically wear a size 8 sometimes 10 dress. I’m a 39” chest 33” waist and 42” hip. I ordered this in a 10 and it fit very well through the waist. I had many compliments on the dress. Hope this helps in picking this dress for you ... show more
