I promise you … this dress is beyond gorgeous in real life. Pictures don’t do it justice. I am 5’7, with long legs, and weigh about 189. I didn’t know what size to order so I ordered a 16. I normally wear a 12-14. It was absolutely perfect giving me a comfortable fit. It’s my mother of the bride dress, and has gorgeous sequins, sexy, but modest, and when you wear a bra with it, it looks like part of the dress which is amazing. My mother used to sew and she examined the workmanship and said it was VERY well made and well sewn! So it has seamstress approval!! I would like to share a tip my mom taught me. Due to the fabric on most all formals, zippers tend to be stiff. To make the zipper on a formal easier to zip, simply take a white candle and rub the entire zipper with it. This will also work with a bar of soap. It makes a huge difference in a smooth glide of the zipper. I love this dress so much and the fact that it’s so comfortable and light weight! It will be “Cupid shuffle” friendly! My favorite line dance! Ha…Also, the length is absolutely perfect with my white wedge sandles. I’m tall and it’s just perfect! If you are short I would recommend slight heels like maybe a fat chunky heel for comfort and easy walking. When the dress arrived it came in a tiny vacuum packed bag which surprised me, but as soon as it’s opened it fluffs out immediately. One more thing that’s super important: There are 2 dresses on Amazon that are identical to this one so pay close attention to the brand!!! You want the “Ever Pretty” brand. The other one has 4 letters that begin with L something. I hope this information is helpful. Just be sure to size up and you will not be disappointed! This dress honestly looks like a $300 dress, not a $70 dress! It’s stunning!!!! ... show more

I had to order a dress in tan/beige for a wedding & this one was definitely a contender. Order a size or two up for a comfortable fit. The quality is amazing for the price point & the dress itself is beautiful! The only issue I had was with the zipper, it would get stuck at some points & I was almost afraid to pull too hard in fear of breaking/ripping it. Also you MUST wear a full body slip with this dress because it is very sheer (at least in this color) Overall, this dress was beautiful! ... show more

I got the black dress with gold leaves. Looked great in pics but fit was all wrong, big in neck area, hung in the back (not fitted to back) and way too long. Reference, I'm 5' 7" , 118 lbs, evenly distributed. If you weigh more and get the right size I believe it could work for you. It is very, very long. I'm 5'3" 145 lbs and 12 is perfect fit! I'm 77 and need modest dress for granddaughter's wedding. Not easy to find modest formal wear that's not a sack but this is it. Sleeves are a pretty length, not too much cleavage, not too snug around waist, good length and comfortable overall, not too heavy or restricting. You won't regret choosing this one. I'll add puc later. Update: loved this dress so much I convinced myself I could lose a few pounds before the wedding and that spanx would help. The weight didn't budge and the spanx was uncomfortable. I've always been smaller 6 or 8, so I thought a 12 would work with my current weight. I read reviews to decide size, so I wanted to update this. It's really snug fitting in the torso. Although I've never worn bigger than 12 in anything, this 12 was too tight. Size up. Pretty. Nice flow. I sized up to allow ‘wiggle’ room after trying the XS first. For reference I am 5’2” & 105 lb. Length is really long. Would definitely need the length altered for me. I loved everything about this gown. I'm 67 and wanted a mermaid gown for our granddaughters wedding on September 15, 2023. It looks exactly as shown on Amazon. The fabric is gorgeous and of great quality. The gown was perfect for a fall wedding; but will fit any season because it is so comfortable, breathable, and just plain stunning. Little to no ironing is needed. I would recommend only ironing the lining if anything. I couldn't believe the gown didn’t need any alterations. It fits like a glove.
