works as expected, the fit is a little off not sure if why the product listing says prescision fit when they notches are off by 1/8" tools fit into the foam but are very tight. im guess you need to leave the tools in the box and keep it closed for some time for the foam to mold into its slots. on initial setup the tools didn't drop into the foam as I was expected I had to wiggle them into place and get them to fit. you can easily fit the drill, impact, 2 compact batteries and 1 extended battery with enough bits for every fastener you come across. going to leave the tools loaded into the box and hope the foam molds to make it easier to remove tools when needed.

I ordered this foam insert for my Milwaukee Gen 3 M12 drill and impact driver set. The foam liner drops right into the PACKOUT toolbox without any issues - it's the correct size for the PACKOUT itself. But the cutouts don't line up properly with the tools. I own three sets of these exact Milwaukee drills and impact drivers, and none of them sit in the slots correctly. Even the reviews here on Amazon that give it 4-5 stars have pictures that clearly show the tools don't fit. The foam feels decent and seems like it would protect tools well if they actually fit. The cutouts look precise, but something is off with the measurements. The tools don't drop into place like they should. You have to force them in at an angle or wiggle them around, and even then they don't sit flush in the foam.

Didn’t realize different gens were different sizes. So this did not work for my M12 drill and M12 impact. Great idea though.

If I didn't know, this could be sold by Milwaukee and I wouldn't think twice. For the price, this is an excellent value. The cutouts are precise, both my drill and driver fit perfectly along with batteries. I know it's a simple accessory, but I love not have my tools bounce around and I really appreciate the organization this provides. The foam is excellent quality, stiff and protective.

This fits in the pack out box perfectly. Unfortunately, my husband thought he had gen 3 Milwaukee tools and it does not look like they are gen 3. The drills do not fit perfectly. Close, but not quite. That is not the fault of the insert as he was wrong about what model he has. It does, however, fit my Bosch drill perfectly, so I will probably steal it from him. LOL.

So I grabbed this foam liner thinking it would be the perfect match for my Milwaukee drill set. The price was decent and the material feels solid, like it would actually protect the tools from bouncing around. Dropped it right into the Packout box and yeah, it fits the box itself fine. But here’s the issue, the cutouts don’t line up with my tools. I tried wiggling them in, forcing at an angle, but they just don’t sit flush. Kinda frustrating since the listing makes it sound like a precision fit. If you’ve got the exact model maybe it works better, but for me it didn’t fit my tool.
