I have Homebase2 and was able to add to my system easily! The only thing I wished it did (and this may be just a Homebase2 issue) was make sounds when the motion was detected. The actual chime only has 3 volume levels and about 8 different chines. NOTE: Neither one can be configured via the app like the Homebase's volume and chimes can. ... show more

Added a second ring option for the basement without issue. Support said this would not work for my application but it does and works perfectly. I need a second chime to work when either of my two doorbells were activated. I tried several other Eufy items support suggested and none worked until this.

    • A Complete Flop
Purchased Eufy Security HomeBase 2 with video camera that works as it is suppose to. Decided to add another indoor chime (the chime sounds only sounds from the HomeBase right now) so the "doorbell" can be heard in the back of the house. Problem is the add-on chime will not chime when the button is pushed at the door. It does, however, chime inexplicably without depressing the doorbell button. While typing this Review the Add-on chime sounded 3 times without depressing the doorbell button. Eufy Security Tech Support has been responsive via email but not helpful in resolving the problem. I have sent, per Eufy Security's request, a copy of the invoice for both the HomeBase 2 and the Add-on Chime. If I don't hear from Tech Support tomorrow with a solution the chime is going back to Amazon. ... show more

    • Not very loud, only 3 volume settings
I use this with HomeBase3 now after upgrading from Homebase2. The built in chime on HomeBase3 is much quieter than Homebase2 which is disappointing. So I got this remote doorbell chime to work w/ homebase3 so I could put it somewhere more in middle of the home. Homebase3 used to only work via Ethernet cable but now can work via wifi. But still, it's too quiet even on loudest chime settings for doorbell. This remote chime has a USB that plugs into the back of Homebase2 and then the chime itself plugs into an outlet. It must be plugged into an outlet as it's NOT cordless. I was disappointed to find that it only has 3 volume settings on the actual chime box. so once you mount this thing behind a couch, chair, or a power strip for the TV equipment it is muffled and hard to hear from a distance or from behind a closed bedroom door. It is best used in a room frequently used by you and your family. The Homebase2 does still ring as well but HB3 is extremely quiet unlike HB2's doorbell chimes which are very loud and perfectly heard throughout most of the house. Why Eufy would think making the doorbell nearly half the volume on HB3 as compared to hb2 is likely to force owners to buy this remote chime box. Which STILL isn't very loud. ... show more
