I have an analog Hikvision DVR with 4 wired cameras that I paid well over a grand for not that many years ago. The interface is horrible but I thought the cameras were good enough. Well, let me tell ya, these Eufy cameras are so much more crisp and sharp and clear...very high definition in comparison to my "professional" wired camera system. Two of these replaced four of those. And, the Eufy interface is super intuitive, with the various settings easy to find and understand. The ability to pan, tilt, and zoom is awesome, especially when it does it automatically while following a person (if you want it to.) While these don't record to a hard drive 24/7, they record clips anytime the camera detects movement, day or night. And - no power or network cables needed! These will run for 6 months without any sunlight on the solar panels! These are light years ahead of any other setup on the market. Another home run! The media could not be loaded. For my house, I can only have it pointed at the road, but with the settings in the app called Activity Zone, I only get notified when movement is in that zone, and it has to be there for like 4 to 6 sec for it to pick up, that is good for me so I don't get 50 pings of cars, it only get the ones that are long or slowing down, which is good for me. There is a cool feature that allows you to make 4 camera presets, so instead of moving your camera to the position you want, you just hit these presets to allow you to change view automatically, this is cool for quickly seeing locations like the driveway or the porch. The battery is awesome, it stays charged by the solar panel and recharges fast. The setup was fast, and video quality is good in the morning, but sometimes at night it does not notify me until the movement is close to the house, this is due to it being straight ahead which tells you not to do it, but in my case, there is no choice, but it still works before they get to my house, sometimes. This camera has a following setting and it works very well, it always follows someone, at night sometimes it struggles, the night light is not that bright, but I can still see things with it, and with the following it is awesome. Note, in a recent update, they removed a feature that made it easy to pick your camera switching preset all the way to the end, it used to be a little arrow with the camera move option, it was the only thing that made me a bit mad, it just makes it have more steps. This is my Go To camera. Pros: Very long range, AI tracking works very well, solar panel keeps it between 80%-97% every day. Cons: Bitrate is just okay, and zooming in will show blurred images. It doesn’t follow/track pets.

Easy set up, just need a sunny zone. Connects fast and consistently. Remarkable viewing radius and camera control. Night vision and night light are great. Bought three and use them in the backyard to monitor our puppy who sometimes likes to dig. My first negative is the tracking software, which is limited to humans and sometimes windy events. The dog doesn't trigger the cameras to track her movements. Second small issue is with the app. The enlarge screen button and pan/tilt and zoom buttons are too small or cumbersome. A better integration that makes the task easier would make these cameras perfect. Update March 01, 2024: Had to drastically lower rating since the cameras have become unstable and constantly disconnect/reconnect. The solar charging is excellent, but who cares when the cameras won’t stay on for more than a minute before disconnecting. This problem seemed to develop over time and hard resets and down-scaling video resolutions worked briefly, but problem persists to the point of being unreliable and annoying. I have a high speed connection and Eero mesh, other connected cameras work flawlessly. Hoped that over the air updates might resolve the problem, but still waiting. Disappointed that I have to waste my time trying to resolve this issue. If there are any suggestions, pls feel free to share. Update: April 13, 2024. Cameras are working very well again. Seems that an update resolved the issue of disconnecting repeatedly. Now that this issue has been fixed, I recommend this camera. The solar charging is top notch, too! ... show more

This is the 4th camera I purchased from Amazon. Price was not really a factor, I wanted reliable motion tracking, good resolution and a quick charge solar. The cameras ranged from $79.00 to $190.00 (this one). Although it is the most expensive it also is the most reliable, feature rich solar powered camera I have yet found. What I really love about this camera is the ability to set both privacy zones and active recording zones. It also has 4 presets for the pan allowing it to return back once the motion is done. Custom sensitivity and duration of recordings is excellent. This allows me to eliminate the street and detecting cars going by all day/night. The motion tracking is excellent. The resolution is a true 3K unlike the last camera that claimed to be 4K, it really was not and it lacked resolution. The WIFI is great with a better range than all the others. I have only had it up for a few hours but so far I love this camera. I will post more after a week of using. UPDATE: After using a few days I still love this camera. The feature to remove motion but keep people and vehicles stops erroneous recording on windy days and at night when insect go by the IR. This camera is the best I have found, a bit pricy but worth the money. Buy it and forget the cheap units if you want reliable recording with accurate motion tracking. ... show more
