Set up is simple & intuitive but you will want to tweek your preferences as you actually begin using it. Everything is easily controlled via the app on your phone. Amazing how sensitive to motion this floodlight cam is. Nice how it will take track a subject & take a snapshot of a key time during each recorded event. Events are easily discarded after viewing so the embedded SSD is always ready. The light is quite bright but theres a full range of color temp & brightness controls in the app which can provide effective visibility without annoying neighbors. Great product. One thing, when insalled on a wall the unit provides a flat surface where birds might perch or nest. I used velcro to set a small Owl sculpture there to discourage any visitors. ... show more

    • Great Camera for your personal surveillance state
Definitely looks like you're serious about security, no one will mistake this for a wimpy, weak camera. The aesthetic screams "I see all", if that's what you're going for. But functionally it's so hard to dislike. The IR sensors pick up everything. The camera's own motion detection is iffy, where it just watches for things moving in the video. But it's like a bloodhound with those IR sensors. The moment someone steps on the yard, the camera pivots out of nowhere to watch them (and at night the lights blaze on). Any side them come from, it's there. Honestly I'm glad the dome blocks any view of the camera because it would be CREEPY. It also likes to watch cars that drive nearby. Once it finds a "target", ahem, I mean, subject. It follows them all over the place. Again creepy if they could see it. It rarely misses anything. I make it a game for my kids to try to sneak by without triggering it. Not even joking. A few other great things about it: * Video quality is clear, sharp even in poor lighting conditions (eg light shining directly in the camera) * Frame rate is 25fps (very smooth video of my kids playing) * Response time is great (getting videos from app, starting livestream, changing settings) * Connection is reliable (never a hint of any issues) * Decent sound, plus noise from camera moving is very quiet * Had a good amount of rain recently (CA) and it has not been affected at all. Might be due to installation tips I got online. * Lights are very bright and I like being able to set the color temp, I keep mine at very warm and brightness 50% Some cons, however. * Notifications can't be turned off or limited more than recordings. Unlike all their other cameras, Eufy made some custom stuff here and you can set a timer to disable all notifications for this individual camera. You can also set it to record only "human" detected events, although those often miss things I've found. I would like an option to record everything but only notify me of human alerts. Or maybe only alert me at night. * Not very cute. I can see a little curtness in the design but it's destroyed by the all seeing eye vibe * Human detection 9ft off the ground is not very accurate, gets maybe 50% of people. Although they are all "seen" and recorded as regular motion thanks to IR sensors * Motion tracking is a little drunk, when people are very close (under the camera). It overshoots and won't see them ever again (amusing) or else keeps putting them on the edge of the frame and going back and forth a lot. Changing settings has not improved this much. Kinda ruins the "evil overlord" thing but doesn't worry me that much since someone has to start far away where this is not an issue. * A nitpick, but turning on the light manually gets overriden by the auto off timer if any motion is detected (which tends to happen if you're going outside to use the light). As soon as something is detected, the light turns off after 30s no matter how you turned it on. * Also the notifications (same with other Eufy products) will pop up on my phone twice if I have "full effect" turned on (once for text only, again when they add the thumbnail) ... show more

    • Wow. So good, and simple to install.
I bought this set (3 light auto track camera and single fixed camera). Great price. I replaced the fixed light at my side door to the garage with the 3 light tracking camera), and one fixed for the front yard/driveway/front of house. This was to supplement my Eufi front doorbell unit. The replacement for the side door light took about 30 minutes including touching up paint where the old fixture had been painted around. The fixed camera took 20 minutes. Both cameras tie right into the existing Eufi software application on my iPhone. So easy! I was most impressed with the tracking on the porch light camera. We have long 8’ wide side area. This camera covers from the front gate all the way back. The gate is the only real access to our back yard. I highly recommend this set as an addition or just a new set. Both new cameras have microphones and speakers. The porch light/tracking camera is hard wired to power. The stand alone one has a built-in solar charger in the top of it. All of these use your homes wireless internet. No no special wiring. And of course you can easily set keepout and privacy zones.     • Impressive flood light camera
I have had this camera for a while so I can say this is an impressive product. I really like the motion tracking of the camera that follows the subject. It works a lot better than I thought it would. The camera can also be panned and tilted manually with the app. The app is well designed and easy to use. The flood light is very responsive to motion and is quite bright. The brightness can be adjusted as well as the temperature (cool/warm). The video resolution looks good to my eyes. Nice camera overall. ... show more
