I read through the negative reviews to see what I was getting myself in for first and decided it was worth it. So far this is a great little device, easy to set up, easy to use, good quality images, and all for a pretty cheap price. A couple of things I saw repeatedly in the negative reviews: 1) It's annoying because it captures everything, even when you're home walking around. My response: If you leave it on, of course it does. But you can turn it off directly from the device or from the app when you're away. You can even unplug it and it won't keep watching you. It's amazing how turning something off... actually turns it off 2) It makes you pay for the subscription. My response: No it doesn't. You can skip that step in the setup. Admittedly it took me a few seconds to figure out how to not have to sign up for their cloud if you don't have an SD card, but then I saw the "skip this step" option and guess what? I skipped this step. It means I can't save recorded files, but I can still live stream. I suppose if you're using this for security purposes and think you may need a recorded file in case something happens then it won't work for that purpose. But also, what do you expect from a $40 device? Get a real security camera. Use this one for watching your pets or your baby from the other room. 3) It stopped working. My response: Ok I've only used it for a few days so maybe I'll update when I've had it longer. But for this price, if it breaks in a year or so, I won't mind. If it breaks next week... different story. Overall, if you want it to have fun spying on your pets, don't let the negative reviews steer you away.     • Wonderful cost effective solution for Nest obscelete DropCan cameras
In process of replacing 4 Nest Drop cam cameras which Google will no longer support next April. There is nothing wrong with these cameras but Googles decision to discontinue support. The EuFy camera represents a great upgrade and along with SimCard and Homekit made it an easy choice. The cameras were easy to set up, took only a few minutes. I have opted to use the EuFy app instead of HomeKit as I can use the full range of capabilities like scanning. The picture quality is very good and at $34 a camera was able to replace the 4 cameras very cost effectively. A great buy. ... show more

I bought this for the HomeKit integration, but it's even better than I expected. Now own more than one. The quality is stronger than other security cameras I have and I love that you can do a 360 spin with it to capture everything in its range. The setup was pretty easy and straightforward. I needed the app to optimize setting it up and make sure it was updated with software, but after that I just use it through HomeKit. I wish more of their cameras worked with Apple HomeKit because I'd buy more. I also use one as a motion detection only and it works perfectly. ... show more

I purchased a couple PTZ cameras about 4 years ago. They weren't the best. They finally gave out so I decided get a new one. I already have a wired Eufy doorbell cam and I love it. Saw this, read some reviews and figured I'd give this a shot. I'm happy I did. Hands down, this is 100x's better than the other cameras. Pros: Responsiveness to controls, live video quality (not choppy), picture quality (day & night vision), microphone & speaker quality, has alarm, motion detection and tracking (solid), easy setup, can run my doorbell cam and this cam from the same app. Cons: None at the moment Would I get another one?
