I happened upon this by chance, and I don’t think I’ll ever look back. Hopefully Eucerin will show some brand loyalty, and never change the formula! I have had eczema since I was young, and I had not had a severe breakout in yearsssss. I didn’t remember what eczema was like! This past summer small irritation began on my hands, and in a few months I had breakouts on the backs of my hands, wrists, on elbow and knee joints, and inner legs the whole way down. It persisted like this for months, with severe and painful rashes. I started using this lotion because it helped me retain moisture. This specific one was the only one that allowed my skin to feel hydrated for longer than a couple minutes, so I continued to use it. I don’t know when it happened, but one day I realized that all my rashes had gone away. Once I noticed, I was amazed! In a matter of four months or so my skin was completely smooth, and resembled normal skin for the first time in almost a year! I was left with hyperpigmentation on the affected areas because the outbreaks were so severe, but nothing else worked! Eczema is such a tricky thing, and is different for everyone, but I urge you to try this lotion because it might just change your life. I was advised by my doctor to try this for my eczema and, while it didn't clear up my rash; it did soothe my irritated skin where I had scratched in raw. Now I use it as a hand cream and I put it on my throat to moisturize the skin there. I put it there initially to calm the redness from the eczema I had produced in that area and I discovered that in addition to giving me relief; it moisturized the skin so much that all of the lines and old woman crepiness that I had was thoroughly removed! It's terribly effective everywhere but on my face, where I found it to be too heavy and greasy, so much so that it gave me acne. For eczema; I use vagisil maximum strength cream. I have found nothing better for relieving rashes than that, not even some of the prescription drugs that my doctor had foisted on me. ... show more

Eczema has afflicted my body in various ways. section by section as it became active in different forms. When it first appeared last Spring it was unrecognizable. Advised to use a steroid. Then later as summer began I received an infusion that caused a burst appearance on my upper back. Advised to use the steroid with a cream to thin the application. Finally as the eczema moved again and was terribly itchy and angry Eucerin for Eczema Relief was rubbed on the back .It calmed the feeling of itching immediately. I have used it ever since, even when it appeared a second time on my arms with calming success. It is December now and I still used it every morning. Both of my twins developed eczema before their first birthday, one on the back of her knees, the other under her jaw and both babies were miserable with itching. We followed all the suggestions about changing laundry and diet and soaps and moisturizers over the course of months, this cream was about the only thing that really seemed to help. I started applying it three to four times a day, in place of the ointment our pediatrician gave us that was only to relieve the itching, and after about two weeks there was real improvement. Both girls only have tiny rough places now, one about the size of a dime and the other about the size of a pea, and there are fewer flare ups and much happier babies and parents. It absorbs well, I haven't noticed any discoloration on baby clothes from the contact, and I can even feel my fingers are less rough and dry from applying it to the kiddies. Good stuff. ... show more
