I have the lavender vanilla and after a while it smells like sage to me, which is fine. The scent is very natural and not overwhelmingly strong (I’m very scent sensitive, especially to artificial fragrance) I use a low pH body wash in my arm pits, and sometimes the MegaBabe Space Bar to kill bacteria off. I dry thoroughly then follow up with this! I take NAC and other supplements that cause my body to leak out some awful stank. I also have crazy bad episodes of hormone sweats every month. I was shocked I got through a week of constant sweating and only had to apply every other day. NO STANK. I’m sweating right now about 8 hours post shower and I smell fine. I love that the packaging is plastic free! For the reviews saying it builds up in the edges or there’s something weird with the tube —I think taking care in application can prevent those issues. I’m careful to not drag the cardboard tube on my skin when applying so it’s not scraping the deodorant off. If I get any in the edge, I wipe it off with my finger and apply it to my body.. No big deal. I would love to try the “Rustic” scent, but it’s twice the price so forget that. I think this is a great plastic free option and for my it does a fantastic job of keeping stink at bay! If this stuff isn’t working for you, maybe try using a bacteria killing soap or activated charcoal before applying. Low pH body wash is helpful at lowering bacteria numbers as well. Or try the other scent!! I think vanilla lavender isn’t “girly” More sage than floral.. unisex scent Highly recommend!

I use this daily. Love the scent. I do use this in combo with Certain-Dri (which I use once a week). So, it might work differently just by itself. I have noticed it leaves a residue on white shirts- but most deodorants do this, too. It takes a little more effort to apply. I did have it crack apart and fall out of tube during two times of applications. However, I just picked up the pieces and smushed them back into the tube. No biggie. I really like this product and will continue to use it. It kept me stink-free and dry.

I am close to finishing my second unit of this product. The first time I ordered, it came in bar form. While it was challenging to apply, I did store it in a reusable tin, and used it until gone. It was easy enough to apply with fingers. I like the concept of a push-up tube, but as the product wears, and with humidity in the bathroom, the tube starts to fall apart. Thankfully, I’m close to finishing, so I can always remove the rest and put in my tin for travel/backpack purposes as needed, and purchase a new tube for home use. I like that this product lasts for a long time (last purchase in March of 2023), and while our environment is not insanely hot, it does get humid. It is effective against sweat and smells, and on some days I may need to reapply or apply more in the morning. But I expect that with most deodorants. Overall, satisfied and repeat customer! It's difficult to find a good natural deodorant that actually works, but this one works so well!! I've tried several brands, but they don't last all day like this one. I feel like the stick is solid enough that it doesn't melt away as I apply it, and the one stick has lasted me well over a month! It has a slightly higher price, but it's 100% worth every penny.

I really wanted to like this deodorant. I use Ethique’s shampoo bar and absolutely love it. I also appreciated how this deodorant is suitable for those with sensitive skin since it doesn’t have baking soda in it. The real test for this deodorant was a week long trip in Japan and unfortunately it didn’t hold up. I found myself having to carry it around and reapply it. The scent is ok, it’s very lime heavy. The actual feeling of it is very nice and doesn’t flake off or ball up. But in terms of keeping odor away, it doesn’t work well. Even after right out of the shower, I find I have BO within an hour, and I’m not a heavy sweater. I’ve been using natural, aluminum free deodorant for about three years now, so my armpits aren’t producing an excessive amount of sweat or odor anymore as they’ve adjusted. I think if Ethique tweaks their formula, they’ll have it down soon. But as for now, it’s back to Native!

Love the unscented, non irritating formula. Works well and keeps me feeling fresh 24hrs. Stick lass me a long time, good value for this quality of product. Compostable packaging was worth a couple stars for me too, and it doesn’t get gummy like some other cardboard tubes I’ve used. Overall the best deodorant I’ve used ever, for hitting all those marks. I hope they never stop making it.

I hate using single use plastic if it is possible to avoid it. This is great deodorant that comes in a paper/cardboard tube, and it work really well!

I hate the move to the cardboard packaging. So much gets wasted and it cakes onto the sides and then flakes all over the floor. I vastly preferred the no packaging squares. They lasted so much longer and there was nothing to throw away. I keep buying it because the product works and doesn't give me a nasty rash like every other deodorant out there. This round of the stick smelled odd, too. Not sure what's up with that. Anyway, once was one of my favorite products, now I'm on the hunt again for a deodorant that works, has minimal packaging, smells good and doesn't break me out. This used to fit all 4 categories but it doesn't anymore.
