This is the upgraded version of the original ESR Magnetic Kickstand Wireless Charger with an upgraded internal chip. The original version required the usage of the included USB C Cable. This version includes an updated user guide/manual which indicates that you must use the included cable however I tested with the Apple original USB C cable that was included with my MacBook Pro 87w adapter and it works great. Also tested with an Apple original TB3 cable which worked great as well. Keep in mind that this is not an official Apple MagSafe charger at 15w, it is a magnetic QI charger which ESR advertises as max of 7.5w with the Apple 12 series devices. Kickstand is extremely strong with the ability to adjust at multiple different angles. It has an aluminum body with what I believe to be a glass or similar material on the charge side area, my previous version did shatter from being in my pocket so use caution when storing away from your phone. I purchase hundred of accessories for my devices and highly recommend this kickstand charger for anyone looking to add a kickstand to their MagSafe equipped cases! ... show more

I like the slim form factor, the kickstand, the detachable cable, and it seems to charge at a decent rate. But my iPhone 12 Pro Max does *not* recognize it as “MagSafe” (as it does with other 3rd-party “MagSafe-compatible” chargers), it sees it as a Qi wireless charger that happens to be magnetic. As a result, the MagSafe animation doesn’t appear, so you don’t know your battery charge percentage without going to the control center. ... show more

I googled that these types of chargers would work on my S21 Ultra. I was so disappointed upon it's arrival - even after taking it out of my phone case, these magnets would not grip and the unit slid right off. Darn.

Love the concept, but it would not work with my case on. I have a case that looks just like the one in the add, but it will not work with it unless I go fishing for that sweet spot and then it will not begin to hold on, much less support the phone on an angle to view it. I can feel the magnets being there, but it will not stick to the phone. I have not tried it without the case, but that is NOT an option for such an expensive phone. I do not recommend unless you are willing to use your phone without a case... UPDATE: 10/27/2021 I am upgrading my rating from 3 to 5 stars, because in all my days and purchases, I have never come across a company that tries so hard to please their customers. They were extremely fast contacting me, asking about the case I had etc.. I thought what the heck, so I gave them very detailed measurements and the add for the case. They apologized and took drastic steps to make sure I was happy. Just know this is after I had given them a bad ratting so the damage was already done, but they were more concern about a satisfied custmer. You just don't find that kind of extra effort anymore these days. Do not feel that my update to 5 stars was paid for, as I would not write such a fan boy review, if I was not so very impressed. I have since been shopping at their on-line store and have found many other great things to improve my life. So, all that being said, I now definitely do recommend buying this device and working with this company. Oh and before you buy this device and/or a case, I recommend checking with these very helpful folks so you can be sure to get things that work well together. You will be glad you did... ... show more

I seem to have gone the rabbit hole of getting MagSafe related accessories (even though I have had the phone for over a year and have never used the feature once). The case you see is from the same company and is from what I would say is their rugged line (a bit bulkier but all of the protection you need). Let me start off by saying that the instructions booklet is adorable. It shows clearly what type of charger is required and why (you have to see it, but it truly is original). Honestly ESR always does great packaging which adds that little to the quality. I have had companies send me items in clear plastic bags that were in Amazon bags and it was not shocking when they broke. These come very well protected. Charging seems to be great, and it is hard to say if it is that different from an Apple OEM. I specifically tried my office associates Apple, and with the right outlet they seem to work at the same speed. Except I actually have a stand as well haha. That is the only quip that I would add, and that is to buy the correct outlet. Otherwise you will not get the best use of the product that you pay for, and at that point it is just a waste. Definitely get this if you want to get the most of a feature that you paid for (MagSafe) as it is easier to use your phone and charge it as the same time. What's more, the kickstand is so useful that I actually took it off charger just to watch a video without holding the phone or trying to find some books/binders tot hold it up lol. So far I have been satisfied, so definitely give it a try. I will write an update should something out of the ordinary occurs, but fingers crossed it all works as intended. ... show more
