I am writing this review after 1 month of using this product and I would like to say that I love the product I purchased. Before I purchased it, I read reviews that said it was loud and painful. Now after using it, I can say that it is a little loud (the sound of an epilator, not a hair trimmer) but not painful. If you're using it for the first time, it can feel painful (because it's your first time), but for me, it didn't hurt at all. I was even able to remove fine hairs from my hands. Also, it's lightweight and the overall look of the product is elegant (considering I love purple color). My experience was great and now I'm planning to buy another one as a gift. ... show more

Works great, I'm transgender. I wish I had something like this for good and long lasting hair removal. Honestly, I was scared as much as it hurt but not that much, basically didn't do it at all the second time around (on the legs) However, as a girl with a high pain tolerance, if I had to rate them from most to least painful, it would be the mouth (mainly the cupid's bow and the lower part of the lips), the back of the thighs, the pubic area I'm not sure because I only do the most marginalized part of the area, the feet, the armpits, the legs, and the arms/hands . While the latter 4 areas feel basically nothing on the second or third time, the mouth always hurts. ... show more

I was surprised how affordable this product is. I used to use an epilator years ago, but I don't need it anymore because the hair has been growing in those areas where I use an epilator regularly (once a month or so) for about 8 years. At the same time, it leaves one's skin feeling silky smooth instead of growing out those fuzzies that make one's skin feel like a man's chin before he shaves. This epilator was a gift for a friend of mine's three teenage daughters, and I'm hoping that when they use it they'll get over the discomfort they felt the first time they used it, and that even the second time they use it, the discomfort will be reduced right away, because hair grows at a different rate, so there's never as much hair to remove as the first time. I'll start by saying that I've been using epilators for 15 years so I won't comment on pain because I didn't feel any pain while using this epilator. I will say that I have tried several (high end) epilators from different brands over the years, but eventually they all break or the battery won't stay charged so you need to buy a new one. This happened to me recently, and when I saw the price of the high-end models, I almost didn't fall out of my chair. Just like everything else, prices have gone up dramatically over the past few years and I just couldn't bear to spend that much money. So, I "settled" for this little guy and I have to say, I love it. It's powerful, comfortable to use, and the cable is long enough for my needs. I saw this product on Amazon and wanted to try it. It works great to remove hair and saves time and money by not having to shave or wax. The first time I used it was on a low setting and it hurt, but after that if you use it consistently I promise the pain will lessen. At first I only used it on my nipples and now I've used it on my underarms. It's been a few months now and now I only use the depilatory cream once a month because there's almost no hair regrowth, whereas before that I only used depilatory creams. Tip: In order to remove as much hair as possible, you have to get close to the skin, so don't add the extra white/pink part to the tweezer section, just get close to the skin with the tweezer section. a 90 degree angle is perfect. I haven't tweezed the skin once so don't be afraid, it only grabs hairs. ... show more

This was my first time using an epilator. I initially tried it on my arms on low speed. I'm not going to lie, my first epilation was extremely painful. Enough to make me consider not doing a second one! I don't have any tattoos and I've never had a baby, so I can't compare pain levels, but I had facial electrolysis for three years and it was very painful even with numbing cream. And this time, it didn't hurt that much! It was like holding an ice cube for a few moments and then dropping it and the pain went away immediately. I needed to do it a second time because I didn't get every hair clean the first time. After a few minutes, I worked up the courage to try it on the peach fuzz on my face. It actually hurt less on my chin than my forearms. I had to do it several times on my arms and face, but each time it got less and less painful until it was really kind of mildly annoying. I've been buying this product for a long time. This review is written late, but I love it so much I decided to let you know why. I think power tools work better than batteries or chargers. This product doesn't tweeze as much as others. I would have thought it would not work as well because of that. But I don't think it's the amount of tweezing that matters, it's the strength of the hair pulling. Honestly, I hardly have any normal hairs growing back. It lets you tweeze those hairs. And this product doesn't. It plucks them. I am very happy with this product and find it reasonably priced. If you purchase it, you will not be disappointed.
