This is the best epilator I have ever had. It is so gentle. It truly is. I only have to touch up much less often with this one than with my last one and it does not hurt. I wish I had splurged for the set that had more attachments, but I was tight on money and could not swing it at the time. The main thing is that I have this wonderful epilator! I can even use it on my face and after a while, the facial hair has reduced. This may not be typical, I am not sure. I use this on my entire legs, my arms, underarms, face, and under my chin. I switched from shaving almost every day to waxing once a month (there was hair but it grew in thinner wasn’t that noticeable until the month mark and I am a THICK haired latina). Buying waxing supplies was getting expensive so I thought why not invest in an epilator and endure the pain? I will say I have been told I have a pretty high pain tolerance but to me, this did not hurt at all. I had to make sure I had the epilator head on and not the razor head, that’s how painless it was to me. I will say consistently waxing prior to epilating probably built up my pain tolerance, but using this was a breeze! I did make sure the hairs were being pulled from the root and not breaking off and wow I am impressed. Yes my skin got the little red dots but that happens regardless, and goes away in hours. If the reviews are scaring you because they say it’s painful, I say waxing is 10x more painful. Get it!! ... show more

    • Be prepared! It does hurt, but it’s so worth it!
I got this about a month ago and have used it twice on my legs and just recently on my underarms. It definitely hurts don’t get me wrong, but beauty is pain! lol I was sick of razor bumps and the constantly need to shave especially now that it’s summer time! I do have sensitive skin so my skin is a little irritated and sore after, but put some aloe on and the red bumps will go away in a couple hours. You will not get it perfect the first few times, but as you get used to it you’ll be able to go slower and get more hairs from the root! Don't do this on extremely long hair it’ll hurt worse! Wait 3-5 days for hair growth and then use it it’ll hurt much less. Don't use it in the shower or with wet skin it sticks and does not glide as well! Your first couple times epilating will hurt BAD, but go fast and don’t think about it. Going slow will hurt worse (I know this gets the hairs better, but trust me if you go slow you won’t be able to finish). A little tip! Pull skin TIGHT and follow the epilator behind it, apply some pressure with the epilator (use the massage attachment) as well, this will help with the pain and getting a more even epilation! Also, exfoliate and take a warm/hot shower before hand this will also help with pain! Wait 2 weeks inbetween epilation sessions! I hope this helps! It’s a bit of an investment, but it is so worth it! I rarely do reviews, but I had to. Honestly, I called my sister on FaceTime to give me a pep talk because it was so loud! But once I did, it wasn't so bad. It's kind of addictive 🙊 lol! Basically, it feels like each stroke is a separate eyebrow trim (like you do with your eyebrows), but if you stick with it, you'll get used to it. Since it was quite loud, I told my sister I'd call her when I was done and turned the bathroom fan on and put music on so I could ignore the noise and focus lol. i did the bikini area and armpits. I started with the bikini area first because I knew that other than the armpits, the bikini area would probably hurt the most. This little thing is not for the faint of heart! I think it's for people with thicker body hair and thicker skin? Dunno. But honestly, like my thread title says, I think this little device is perfect for me! I hate shaving, I don't like shaving my body hair with depilatory waxes, and I don't like the messy cleanup after shaving. I can feel that my skin looks and feels so much better. If you have a high pain tolerance or like the feeling of tweezing out/through more hairs, I suggest you try it! (Oh yeah, my skin was a little red and bumpy after I did it, probably from the shock, but there was no burning or irritation.)
