I had one of the original epiladies years ago. It was very painful, but it worked well. This is less painful, but it doesn't work so well.

Definitely not as good as the old ones that had to be plugged in to use. Definitely doesn't have the same power or strength. It will take care of thin hairs but it didn't do anything but break off thicker coarse hair. For people complaining about it hurting to use. Please keep in mind you're purchasing a product that pulls hair out. You're going to feel it. Read instructions and pay attention to how taught your skin is and avoid using after washing your face. These things make a difference. Also. The hair has to be long enough for it to grab and needs to be sticking out from the skin, not lying against it.

While I like this, I didn't think it would be so difficult to grab the hairs nor does it get all of them even after going over area constantly. But I do appreciate what it does pull! :)

The design of this leaves most of the moving parts exposed. So if you press a little too hard, it will latch onto your face. It also fails to get most of the hair even after multiple passes. After I used this, my face didn't look any better, but it was so irritated I couldn't do anything else to it for a week. Steer clear!
