Its clipped onto my passenger side seat. Not much to say! works as it should. i don’t think cheaply made. I don’t really put any thing that can go bad like food or open drink in it though so i can’t say if its smell proof much… but it does hold alot more than youd thing and seems durable. This auto trashcan is just like the pictures shown in the item listing. It's very nice and well made considering the low price. It has a finished look with piped accents, and will compliment any car. Mine is black and is attached to console gear shift, hangs on passenger side. Two black plastic support pieces (enclosed) fit snugly into the pleats of the left/right handle straps. Velcro strips on bottom help keep the trashcan from moving in place. This is not a small and discrete looking auto trashcan, it has a presence and takes up space. It's about the size of a small bathroom wastebasket. This trashcan is constructed well using a thin, rigid, canvas-like waterproof material. Interior has plastic lining for wet or leaking trash. The lid is very sturdy and stiff with a velcro closure in front. Nylon elastic skirting in the center of the lid is a nice touch, well sewn, and keeps from having to open the lid every time to dispense something. The front and side exterior pockets are made of netting and good for storing things. I use mine for pocket change, writing pen/pad, napkins, pocket knife, glass cleaner and wiping cloths. The nylon strap is adjustable, clips open/closed, is sewn-in and cannot be removed. Item comes vacuum sealed, flat in clear plastic about the size of an LP album cover. I like this product a lot. Ordered the pink version for a Christmas present to go on a friend's boat. Great for RVs, too! Recommended. ... show more

It does its job very well, the side pockets are handy - that's where I keep the spare trash bags. The strap gives you many options on where to put it, we have a Toyota Sienna and it fits perfectly in the space between the driver and passenger seats in front of the center console. The lid fastening is velcro and works well, does a good job at holding the bag in place, we haven't had any issues so far with the bag moving around inside. We haven't yet run out of the bags that came with it but when we do, I'm sure that grocery bags will fit very well (of which I have 60,000 saved up because I don't like throwing them away, so I'll put them to good use) Overall, extremely happy with our car-bage can! ... show more

Item arrived and I think will be helpful on a long car trip we have planned. Opening at the top is small but large enough & is stretchy so that cans & bottles can be inserted in. I thought it advertised that it would come with bags, but it did not. Was a bit difficult to assemble & instructions are almost useless, but I did it. I saw one in my son's car and knew I had to have one. It does not disappoint! I travel alone, so I have it attached to the headrest of the passenger seat so it's handy for me to use. The way the top is designed makes it very hard for my dog to get trash out of it to shred. lol. And easy for me to stick trash in it. I would highly recommend this product for any car! ... show more

I tend to have built up clutter from little items like wrappers, gum wrappers, and water bottles. This trash can hold a good amount of trash and conveniently sits behind the center console. It does take up the leg space of the middle seat in my car, but that is not a problem for me. It includes velcro strips for the trash can to stay put, as well! This is my second purchase of this item and I have definitely noticed differences in the product. The material is thinner and more cheaply made and the hardware clasp is different too. The first purchase came with some trash bags to go inside and this one did not. The price was more than what I paid the first time but didn’t come with the same quality.
