This ball pit was so reasonably priced, I almost didn’t buy it because I thought there’s no way this is gonna be a quality item. Then I read a couple reviews and I was like well, I’m gonna try it - particularly because it was under 20 bucks. This adorable little ball pit is exactly the right size for our almost 10-month old grandson and it has plenty of room for him to grow. He could probably use this until he’s like 3+! I love that it’s collapsible so the parents can throw all the balls into a giant bag & fold it up & put it away if necessary. I originally bought 100 balls to see how many we would need total. Once we saw how few 100 balls really was we bought an additional 200 (be sure to read reviews, so you don’t get balls that crush easily we bought the sturdier balls, so he can throw himself into the ball pit or sit on them, and not crush them). So the picture you’re looking at is 300 balls total. Needless to say, he absolutely loves this. The smiles are nonstop and he gets on sensory overload when he gets in there - enamored with having control over so many little balls. The sides of this thing collapse, so he can get in and out on his own fairly easily (of course, he’s an expert crawler, so that helps). In my opinion, this is about as well-made as it can be for what it is (a cute collapsible ball pit). And it is absolutely the right size for a crawler to an older toddler. Buy this! Before you start reading this review please know I was not paid and I received no incentive for this review. Also, keep in mind i purchased this product for my English Bulldog and NOT a child. I purchased this ball pit so that my English Bulldog had a place to store, hide, and play with her toys. She loves to carry around stuffed toys and bones. During the day I pull it all the way open for her so she can get in and out easily and play with her toys. Then at night I fold the sides in to form a small square and place her toys in there. She jumps/bulldozes in and out like nothing. My little frenchie loves it too! It's not very sturdy and collapses very easily, but isn't that what it's supposed to do?! It is super easy to pop up and fold if you want to store in a closet or corner somewhere. I love it and I have actually purchased 3 now in the last 3 years or so. They will obviously only hold the destruction from an English Bulldog for so long, however I am very pleased with how long these last. Of course, it won't let me upload a photo, but I will keep trying. P.S. the point of this post is that if it's durable and safe enough for a very ambitious Bulldog, then I'm pretty sure it's durable and safe for any young toddler to play in. As always supervise your toddlers play, most accidents occur because the parent wasn't watching the child to begin with. ... show more

This ball pit is pretty big for my granddaughter who is a year old. It is a nice size for her and her dog to play in. It took 500 balls to fill it up to a decent level. I gave it to her when she was only about 7 months old. That was really too young to enjoy the ball pit. Now that she is a year old, she really enjoys getting in and playing. Her 7 year old cousins love it too. Our granddaughter's dog has a total blast in the balls. He jumps in and buries himself in the balls, then jumps up and hops out, only to start the process all over again making my granddaughter laugh her little head off. Pretty much fun for the whole family. I knew it was soft sided and folded up which was one of the reasons I purchased this model. Once you get the hang of it, it is pretty easy to fold up and put away since it does take up a good bit of space. The only thing I can say that I don't care for is that when my granddaughter tries to stand up and holds onto the sides, she falls over because the sides collapse. When this happens, the balls pour out and all over the floor. This also happens when the dog jumps in and out. Picking up a few hundred balls isn't the funnest thing, but they all enjoy it so we put up with it. ... show more

My kids are about to turn 4. A couple years ago, someone bought a collapsible tent/house and a couple hundred balls for them to play with. It was fun for them, but the house didn't contain the balls very well and it ended up just being a huge mess every time. The kids wanted to get the balls out again over the weekend, so I did (reluctantly). After trying a new set up that still didn't work great to contain the balls, I finally ordered this thing. It came quickly and was SO compact... maybe an 8 inch round disc, a couple inches thick? I popped it open and dumped the balls inside. The kids played with it for a solid couple hours. They both fit comfortably inside with a bit of room to spare. I doubt I'd want to add a third kid in the pit, but maybe a smaller child could have fit in with them. Even if they never look at it again (not likely, LOL), it will have been worth the $13! I can't speak to durability or even how well it folds back up in that tiny zipper case, but this is a great item. Even if I can't get it back into the bag it came in, it folds completely flat and can easily be stored that way. My only regret is not buying this 2 years ago! ... show more

I love the colorful dots designs and I’m surprised it’s not as flimsy as I thought it would be. I like the little flaps around making like a subtle dome shape to keep the balls in somewhat. My 2 year old loves it. I just need to get more balls to fill it up.

It's overall good. Not too big not too small. My 2 toddlers ages 4 and 2 fit perfectly. Used about 400 balls and was about halfways full. Ok now the reason why I rated it 3 stars is because there's not much stability to it. Say a toddler wants to get out and they'll hold onto the sides for support the pit will sort of bend. I got it for $10 prime deal so eh I suppose I'll keep it. ... show more
