  • DIY Ball Pit and Sensory Pool Must Have!
I own and operate a small pediatric speech and occupational therapy clinic and work with a number of kiddos who have sensory processing needs. As a result, we have a wide variety of tools and equipment pieces on hand. Hands down, one of the best investments we've ever made are these ball pit balls. Why a Ball Pit? In short: Ball Pits are a great therapy tool! The visual, auditory and tactile sensory stimuli and the proprioceptive feedback builds confidence and strengthens motor skills during occupational therapy. Using balls of multiple colors can help with visual sensory stimulus and they can be used to build early speech skills like color identification, counting and more. If properly padded and filled with crush-resistant balls (like these), they can be great for deep pressure and vestibular activities (kids love to throw themselves into a sea of colors). Activities and games can also be created based on the child's age and goals. For example, one game we play a lot is a sort of tiny basketball. A therapist can ask the child to find a red ball and then a blue ball and shoot them into a hoop. Doing this works on color identification (as I mentioned before), receptive language, multi-step directions, and the fine motor skills of finding and grasping the ball, motor planning to throw the ball into the hoop, and so on. To sum it up: They are fun, great for sensory and body awareness therapies, and I had this deep personal bias that it would just be so gosh darn fun to have one (who doesn't love a ball pit!), even if just a temporary one to pull out as needed. We decided to try out and fill an inflatable pool so we could use it as a ball pit OR as a sand/water play sensory pool as we wanted. We bought the 1,000 pack you see above and an additional 400 (same provider) to fill our 90" X 58" pit up just enough to where we felt it would be fun, though to be honest, I could absolutely buy another 400+ at some point just to really amp up the fun of diving into them. I really like these ones because they are BPA and Phthalate free and they are crush proof, which has held up true so far for us and we've been using these for about 4 months daily with several kiddos who play rough. These have been thrown, squeezed, stepped on, jumped on, dived into, you name it. They clean easily with disinfectant wipes and spray and the pool makes it even easier to sanitize; simply fill up, wash, drain, rinse, repeat. They may be a little bit smaller than some other brands but I personally prefer these and wouldn't buy any others around as the bigger ones can be too hard to children working on fine and gross motor skills to grip and throw. ... show more

  • Good Quality Pit Balls
Color: Bright Pattern Name: 200 Count
We've had a set of these for nearly a year now, and they've held up so well I'm buying more. We use these for our son's ball pit, and we had two other brands of balls in there as well, and I try to grow the amount of balls as he grows. These haven't had any issues with collapsing, and he's a big guy for his age. And he likes to shove them into his mouth and chew on them. And yep, he can actually totally get them to fit almost half way into his mouth. The one thing I would say about these, but it's as downfall for any brand of these balls, is that they are a pain to pick up if they are all out on the floor. Our little man went through a phase of climbing into the middle of his pit and pitching every single one of the balls out. It took a whole lot of work and a whole lot of "no, really...you're totally helping me pick all of these up" to get that to stop. Months of that, actually. I nearly burst into tears with joy when he picked up some he had moved out of the pit on his own yesterday, it was that awesome. Because yah, when you have a whole pit of these on the floor, it's sheer misery to clean up daily. So that is something to consider if you are trying to decide whether or not you want one of these. For our little man, even though that was challenging, it was a no brainer, because it has been very helpful with some of his sensory stuff, and he absolutely loves ball pits. Loves the one at his therapy clinic probably more because it's massive, but he loves his in home one enough he climbs into it to sleep in the balls sometimes. And these have totally held up to that. ... show more

  • Two and half inch little orbs of fun!
PROS: - A very evenly distributed variety of colors. - They're not "crush proof" as in very hard/sturdy, but "crush proof" as in they're air tight so when you squeeze one the air pressure pops it back to round when you release it. - No chemical smells and very clean. - Can easily be cleaned by "hosing them off" in the bag. CONS: - Non so far, but I will update this review if anything arises... ---Disclaimer--- - I have NOT been coached or asked to provide positive feedback, nor have I received any compensation or incentive from the company for this review. (Note: Not all products will receive a perfect rating from me, I am honestly reviewing the product and leaving only true and honest reviews). - I am NOT affiliated with this company or any of their products, in any way. - All of the views expressed are my very own and based off of my experience. My thoughts and criteria for products I review based on Amazon's rating criteria is in parentheses: ★★★★★ = I love it (Practically perfect. Nothing lacking in functionality or quality. Love love love it and would not only recommend, but would purchase for others and continue to purchase for myself.) ★★★★ = I like it (Item as described in functionality, purpose and quality. May have 1 or 2 things I don't care for or would change, but not big issues. Would recommend if asked, but wouldn't say I love it.) ★★★ = It's okay (Product has both positives and negatives, and I may or may not continue using it. Someone else may like it more and is potentially still worth purchasing.) ★★ = I don't like it (Don't like it and wouldn't use it again, but may still have at least 1 positive thing about it.) ★ = I hate it (Feel it's a waste of money. Will never use it again. Would never recommend. Not safe to use. Either throw away or return it.). ... show more

  • Best Value for Your $$$
Color: Bright Pattern Name: 200 Count
Best value pack I’ve found. These are the same quality as other brands that are charging the same for half the amount of balls. Definitely recommend.

  • Nice and colorful
Color: Bright Pattern Name: 200 Count
These balls (I got 100) are lightweight but apparently sturdy. I sat on them in a ball pit, trying to get my cat to climb in with me, and I was sure they'd be flattened, but they bounced back just fine. My cat does like batting them around. Fun!

  • ignore all negative ratings!
so first I ordered some to add to our ballpit pool never came in the mail but the resent me some rite away and its awesome!!!!!!!! first of all I expected them to crush easily, and I expected them to not last long but wanted it for one day for a birthday party , BUT these are long lasting! I let my daughter (6) play in it an I got in it as well and I did not try to avoid stepping on them after awhile because they seem indestructible! T put all my weight on it and it bent in a little then when I let my foot off of it, it just poped back into place! so these will last along time! we baught the ball pit outside and the neighbors kids came and played in it with us. The picture you see is 1600 balls to fill a medium sized pool. I baught some from a different place when I found out that the first order was lost in the mail, so they sent us new ones and so it all added up to 1600 balls and its perfect! worth every penny! also I did spend 30$ on a pool on amazon and it was a piece of crud, I found this pool for $9 at my local grocercie store and it holds up really well! you can find these balls cheaper else were but they will just crush on you and not last, but these will last as long as you do not lose them! however good luck trying to clean them! also I notice another company blowing up bad ratings for these balls and telling everyone to buy theres and I dont suggest doing that. Yes the guy is rite about the balls being bigger but if I filled my daughters pool with there balls it would cost allot more. even though it takes less balls to fill, they still crank up the price to were its way unrealistic unless your lucky and make good money! so stick with these! best deal for quality! ... show more

  • Completely Happy and 100% Satisfied!!
These are fabulous!!!!!! They are not the large hard balls you see at a play-park of some sort. They are smaller.....perfect for little hands. They are semi-soft......cannot be squished and yet are pliable enough so your little one will enjoy and want to play in a bunch of balls. I don’t know about you, but I’ve been in these ball pits before as an adult and they can be a little rough on your the body....not fun, can’t imagine a toddler or baby want to be in that!!! Colors are brilliant and shinny! Comes in a mesh storage bag which makes it easy for storage. None were damaged!! I didn’t bother counting b/c as you can see there was plenty. I purchased 400 and it was perfect for my one year old Goddaughter. I returned the white ones (see pics.) because they were to small and too soft, plus for the 100 white balls, I just about spent half of what did on these 400. Incredible purchase ( : ... show more
