This is coffee table size and voluminous. The depth of the information warrants every page as each is filled with photos and original advertising for the instruments. I am far from having read the whole thing, but find it an interesting read to simply pick up and peruse the pages when I have a moment to sit with the book.     • If you don't have this book, you are not serious about mechanical music machines.
This is the standard reference work. It is fascinating, filled with images and descriptions of the whole field of mechanical music. Get it if you can. I think it is out of print.

This book is packed with information regarding mechanical music. I was able to find my Wurlitzer 145B Band Organ and found it to be one of four ever made. In addition, the book told me that it was one of two that were shipped in 1930.
