These are a much darker speaker than the typical Eminence 10 inch. Not muddy or dull, but the high end has a significant level roll off. The information is still there, it just is much less pronounced. Great for taming an overly bright amp. Bass is very strong and pronounced. It has a huge magnet and large voice coil, so a very bold sound. Articulation and response is excellent, very fast and detailed, but with the previously mentioned high end roll off. It certainly won't work on every amp, might be too dark for some applications. But it can make it almost impossible for some amps to get to that "icepick" mids and highs that can make an amp very fatiguing rather quickly. It pretty much just won't go there for the most part. Excellent speaker in the right applications.

I bought two of the 10" Cannabis Rex speakers as a replacement for two 10" Lil' Buddy speakers (should be called Lil's Muddy). The Cannabis Rex really gave me a nice full ranged tone I was looking for. The Lil Buddy speakers were very muddy, uninspiring. The Cannabis Rex immediately jumped out at me (after about 6 hours of breaking in with generic YouTube music). They push a lot of air and are louder than a single 12" or 2x 10" Lil Buddies. FYI - Always break in your speakers for a few hours just to loosen them up before really dig in and can judge the sound more accurately (they'll still keep breaking in - but not near as much as those first few hours)

I replaced the original EV speaker that was in my Blues Junior with the Cannabis Rex, and it improved the sound of the amp tenfold. The Rex is a 50-watt hemp cone speaker, and when pushed even just a little bit gives that nice smooth break up that will compliment any combo amp beautifully.

Sound Awesome with these paired in my Hodrod Deville 4x10 criss/crossed with 2 Red Fangs. Tone is night and day compared to stock eminence specials! Metal to Country and everything in between!

I was looking for a replacement speaker for the wimpy POS that comes stock in a Supro Blues King 10 amp. I first tried a Celestion Vintage 10, but that didn't cut it all; based on a recommendation I bought the Cannabis Rex 10, and it was the perfect match! Would highly recommend this speaker for any 10" application, should sound awesome if replacing speakers in a SuperReverb or 4x10 Bassman combo...

I'd describe the sound from this speaker as very smooth and warm. Not bright. Plenty loud at low power and I thought very vell made. It has its place.
