I have been needing to replace my ~20-year-old umbrella for a few years, but wasn't thrilled about the expense. Then I discovered Amazon sells replacement covers, so you can keep your umbrella frame and just replace the cover at a huge savings -- yay!! This EliteShade cover is lightweight compared to the original (which was more like canvas), so I'll have to see how it holds up. It was easy to install the new cover and it fit perfectly. That being said, pay close attention to the measurements to make sure it will fit your umbrella. RIBS. Count your umbrella's ribs and measure them. My umbrella has 8 ribs, each is 53" long, making it a 9-foot umbrella. Check! FINIAL ATTACHMENT. Before ordering, check how your finial attaches. This umbrella cover has a hole that is a bit less than 1/2-inch and has a metal grommet to reinforce the hole (see photo). This was exactly what I needed for my umbrella, my finial connects via a bolt that threads into the top of the center pole (again, see photo). I have read comments that the hole was too small for some umbrellas. So check and measure before ordering to save frustration.

It fit great onto my 8ft dia. stand but is made of a lighter material than the original. It works fine but it does not have the strap to tie it together once it is closed. Still, it should last a while if you close it when not in use. I did not notice that the strap was not shown in any of the color selection pictures.

It would be nice if it was waterproof but I knew up front that was not. If you follow the sellers instructions to order, I believe you'll get the right fit. It appears as though it is holding up well for its age. I would order another one if a limb was to fall through what I have. I am satisfied and would recommend it to anyone needing a new cover.

Kind of standard for any market umbrella canopy to have a tie for storage. Very weird oversight. Material is thin, but you get what you pay for. I wasn’t expecting a nice canvas replacement for this price, but I’d expect a bit more thickness than tent siding material…not sure how this is as UV resistant as they say, as you can clearly see light shining through. I’d say this is maybe 70% UV resistant/light diffusing. Misleading advertising. 3/5 stars
