I'm quite happy with this box. I only needed it for holding guitar equipment, like tools, strings, parts, etc., and it does that job perfectly. I wouldn't use this for heavy things or for frequent use or abuse - it's not that tough. But for light things like a craft box or sewing kit it's great. As mentioned by others the drawer does take a bit of strength to open, but I like that because I know it won't slide out on its own. And the latches on mine are solidly attached. Owning a bunch of musical instruments (mostly acoustic and electric guitars and basses) I was starting to accumulate a hefty pile of random parts as one does. It was getting to the point where there was just this pile I'd sort through every time I went looking for a bit or bob. Enter the solution: this toolbox is great. It looks and feels reasonably sturdy for the price, and has a handy storage drawer in addition to the main compartment. It has just the right number of little pockets and straps for holding tools (pliers, wire cutters, Allen wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.) and a solid black with aluminum edges look that matches a bunch of other music gear. While I'm keeping this home in a music room for the most part, this would also be a great box for any kind of gigger--store your tools and strings and replacement parts in a single box that's easy to carry.
