The media could not be loaded. I recently learned about kalimbas and thought they were really cool and relaxing so I bought 3 different ones. I compared the MIFOGE kalimba (wood), AKLOT kalimba (acrylic), Ubblove kalimba (marine - wood+acrylic). This acrylic ones was pretty heavy but I don’t mind the weight much (I liked how sturdy and balanced it felt) and it was easy to hold. It’s also super cute and visually appealing, which I feel adds to the relaxation of playing for me. I love that the notes lasted longer than the wooden one but the upper 1-2 tones are a bit dull. Overall, a very cute and well-made kalimba. Would recommend.

I was on the market for Kalimba for the last two weeks. I have researched a lot and ordered few I think are the potential Kalimbas I could own for the first time. I am a beginner but I have watched many videos about Kalimba and I know what I wanted. As a beginner, I wanted the notes engraved on the tines. I do not prefer the ones you have to put stickers on. I like the matte finish. I love the color and design of this Aklot Kalimba. It's chocolate brown. It is light, but it's genuine wood. The size is as big as the popular Gecko and exactly same shape too. I realized I don't need the ones with curvy sides. The case is one of the deciding factor. Compared to other cases, this one is premium. It really protects the Kalimba. I like too that the tuning hammer that is placed at the back doesn't scratch nor touch the Kalimba. The color of the bag is cool too. But the most important part is how it sounds. I tried recording simple songs and the sound is melodic. Unlike with other Kalimbas where you would hear some sharp sounds when you struck the tines, this one has a decent sound even though it says this is a beginner's Kalimba. I plan to bring this anywhere I go because it's very handy and I'll be able to learn and master new songs during vacant times. I ordered another one for my wife and I can't wait both of us playing together.

This is my fourth addition to my Kalimba collection and my first acrylic one. The craftsmanship is top-notch! Acrylic Kalimbas are the softest in volume of the different types but that's fine because there's always quiet times when the sifter sound is perfect. It's also easy enough to use a small microphone if I want to record through my phone. The weight is not too heavy and the little rubber dots are a good addition. However, my dots were not all our equally round or complete on the sticky paper they came on, two were partially cut off, but it's no deal-breaker. The hammer, having a wooden handle is very nice. The guidebook was more thorough and informative than any of my other kalimbas(two are Moozica brand). My Kalimba came perfectly tuned. There are also two sets of note stickers. And the overall size is not large, it's perfect. I'm really pleased with this purchase!

What a great little instrument! It is made from quality solid wood and feels sturdy and smooth in your hands. It is easy to tune with the included tuning hammer and has a delightful and beautiful sound. I am really enjoying learning to play this kalimba and love learning new instruments that originate from different places all over the world. This wonderful piece makes a great addition to my collection of instruments. I love it and highly recommend it to any music lover or collector. I think it would make a great gift and plan to buy one for a young music lover in my family for Christmas. Thank you so much for making such a great little instrument! Oh i almost forgot , it is also in the shape of a bear face ! Too cute !

I've been playing kalimbas for about ten years. I added this kalimba, with its adorable bear face and ears, to my collection because of its round resonance box that is supposed to produce a mellower tone than more angular kalimbas. I'm finding that to be true. It produces a beautifully rich sound, and the fact that it's just so darn cute is an added bonus. I knocked off one star because mine arrived so badly tuned that I had to get out my tuning device and retune just about every tine before I could start enjoying it. I'm not talking about being slightly off pitch. Whoever pretuned my kalimba must have been kinda tone deaf because many keys were off by half a note, meaning D# instead of D as an example, and a couple were off by a whole note. I had to spend close to an hour adjusting the tines before I could start enjoying it. Now that I have it perfectly tuned, it's a pleasure to play. The sound is rich and soothing. The tines are rounded and bent downward on the ends for a very comfortable feel. I highly recommend this kalimba, but make sure you have a tuning device or app available in case you have to retune yours on arrival.
