    • Keeps my neck warm
I love that this comes with a rechargeable battery pack which you insert into the scarf and connect via a plug. The plug that connects to the battery is a little strange. It doesn't seem to fit perfectly snug. I had to twist and wiggle it a bit to get a solid connection where the scarf would stay on. I think that plug could use some re-engineering IMO. It has a hidden hat inside of it which is kind of cool (warm too), but it's at the end of the scarf where I would expect it to be more in the middle. Maybe I'm just not good at using a scarf. Overall, I do like this product and would recommend it for someone looking for a heated scarf. I haven't used it outside is really cold weather yet, but inside on the couch, it felt really good. Also, I'm not sure how long the battery lasts. It has 4 power dots on it and it was fully charged at 4 when I first tried it out. I used it for about 90 minutes and when I turned it off, I was at 3 dots so if that's any indication, I could see getting 4-6 hours out of a charge, but that's just a quick guesstimate. ... show more

    • UPDATE Works well, but missing battery?
UPDATE 11/7 Great customer service that justifies an entire additional star. Seller contacted me about the missing battery and shipped an entirely new unit to us. The battery is roughly the same weight as a small USB pack you'd carry in your backpack for charging your phone and slides nicely into the pocket. There is even a small notch in the battery shape to accommodate the USB-A connector sitting flush against the pack and minimize the amount space taken in the pocket. Battery arrived fully charged, and 6 hours of continuous running later, still shows 4/4 charge lights, so appears to be quite efficient in its use. Really like this and will be testing it in some real cold weather later this weekend. My wife hates the cold, and this gives her a nice option to layer in with her various cold weather gear like her heated vest. The unit gets warm enough, but not too hot, and the idea of having a hood that has its own heating elements in it is interesting -- so far it works well. The only issue we had with this was there was no included battery and the listing clearly said there was a battery included to attach to the DC connector. We had a spare USB power pack around that we used instead, and that worked perfectly for testing. The pack we used was too big and too heavy to make it practical for daily use, so we'll have to get something smaller. All in all, it's a nice scarf, the right length and thickness, and heats up quickly. ... show more

Big plus this comes with it's own battery pack. They thoughtfully put the pack on a pouch that hangs in front and not in the hood pouch. If they would have had the battery pack there this would have put the battery on the back of your neck, which would have been... Well a pain in the neck. The hood has it's own heat button and the scarf part has it's own heat side. You can run one, both, different heat levels for each. It is customizable and comfortable. The heated wires are thin and not cumbersome on the head. There is a visibility issue as the hood is big for those who might have smaller heads. It would have been nice to have a reflective stripe for when you're out after dark. But still not a deal breaker. This is amazing and will probably keep me from hibernating this year bc I won't be so cold. The material also has a water repellent feel to it. Though a torrential rain would soak through. But hopefully I have enough common sense to not wear it in that kind of weather so getting some kind of hot electrical shock to the brain really isn't a worry. Awesome job! ... show more

    • Keeps My Elderly Mom Toasty Warm as We Get In/Out of Car
My mom is elderly so her skin has become quite thin and frail, and she is subject to changes in temperature easily. We are in Maryland, so the winters here can be rough. I always warm up the car for her, but as she’s older, it takes time getting to/from the car. I got this heated scarf/hat combo in the hopes of keeping the chill away long enough so that the cold won’t take hold in her bones. Once she’s cold, it’s tough for her to get warm. I really like that there are two separate zones of heat---one for the scarf, another for the hat section. And the heat is not too hot. Again, thin frail skin can get burned easily. You can’t be too careful though. Much like many heating pads the temperature can be adjusted. Try it on yourself, especially if you are dealing with someone whose words may not come easily. I like mine on high. It says it is machine washable, but if you opt for the machine instead of hand washing, put it in one of those mesh bags, and be VERY sure to remove the battery. ... show more

This is a nice scarf. It also has a zipper pocket that has a hood inside, so you can use it with or without the hood. It does get warm on the back of your neck. It is even warm without the heat on. There is a battery that is easy to connect, which is nice so you can wash it if you need to. This is a great scarf and would also make an amazing gift. ... show more

Finally one of these battery packs without proprietary charger to lose. It uses Type C. Better yet it works with usb two and usb three. Four blue dots indicate charge state. You need not be Snow Miser to enjoy a freezing dry sky water day. Buttons are simple to locate by feel, and easy to operate. Heat rushes in quickly but not as swiftly as current; it works. It is comfortable enough but not likely worn sans battery. Seven point four is the minimum voltage for heated apparel. Five and fewer volts will always be a disappointment. There are higher voltage options upon diligent amazon searching. Having been zapped by an electric heated rechargeable jacket last Christmas I caution you to avoid unnecessary folding, and most certainly do not grumple into a ball or pile.
