I have to say, the Ekster wallet is pretty life changing. It easily holds my ID, 4 raised cards, and my AMEX platinum with no issues to the release function. I like the elastic money band, but the back plating to keep any money in place is very very flimsy. Really the one of two negatives about the wallet (unless you're putting quite a fill bills in, you may worry about items becoming loose). 2nd negative? The wallet easily gets scuffed up, scratched, and/or fingerprints. Not the end of the world if you're in it for function vs visual appeal. Personally I bought this as a lighter (and secure) option for when I travel. Extra benefit has been the release mechanism, very fun to play with but also great for quick access. ... show more

Great wallet, the cards pop out easily and so far it's held up well for the past half year. My only complaint is that the band that holds on the RFID blocker, doesn't really hold IDs like it shows it does. Eventually those IDs will start to slide out because the band isn't that tight. This is better and cheaper than the ridge wallet, the ridge wallet you have to push the cards out with your finger. Not this one, you use the button and you don't have to dig through all your cards like you have to with the ridge. I will say this though, like with every minimalist wallet putting receipts in them is hard. If you hold onto receipts like me putting them in the elastic hold where the money goes is a little hard. I'd recommend getting two card stock papers and cut them so they are small enough to fit inside the elastic hold where the money goes. Then you can pull them out, put your receipt in between them and slide it back in easier. ... show more

Update: Company reached out and replaced the product for free. Professional customer service and very responsive. Hopefully the replacement will hold up! Initial: Bought this wallet to upgrade from a more traditional wallet. I was super pleased with the weight, style, and storage of it while I had it. However, it was knocked off of a counter onto a hardwood floor and rendered the whole spring-loaded system useless. For the price tag, I would assume this thing would be able to withstand a fall off of a counter. I have a ticket in with the company; will update review depending on response. ... show more
