Before you purchase these make sure you do not need more than 6 sets, they limit what you can buy, they are NOT from the manufacturer, they are a middleman. The shutters are great, I purchased one set to see if I liked them, I did, so I ordered 3 more sets, to cover just the front, ground floor of my home. The day after I ordered them they went on sale, and they would not honor the new price if I sent them back. I still needed 2 more sizes, 3 more sets, just for the ground floor side and garage windows. So I went ahead and bought those as well from here, but the remaining 8 sets I needed for the 2nd story, I,bought from a different company, they are all mid America, they should have honored the sale price, bad business,great shutters. ... show more

Replaced some 30 year old shutters on the side of my house that had become faded and brittle. Thinner than the old plastic shutters they replaced so only time will tell about their longevity but upon installation they look very good.

The backs were not stained. Even though the backs of the blocks will not be seen once we hang them on the wall, it conveyed a "homemade" quality. It seems that it wouldn't have taken much extra time or materials to fully stain them. This was the case with every block, so it wasn't that just one block was missed. We purchased a block with an "H", but an "M" was sent instead. My wife thinks she can work with this, but it won't be exactly what she wanted to accomplish. ... show more
