Description

Without internal combustion engines, solar generators are extremely quiet. From a distance of approximately 20 inches, the noise level of a DELTA 2 Max solar generator (low input and output of around 500W) is only 30 dB, versus others with a volume of 45 dB or higher. In comparison, gas generators can run at an average of 70 dB even from a distance. Solar generators don't burn fossil fuel, so with zero emissions or fumes, they're a clean replacement for gas generators. Unlike gas generators, there's no fuel to refill, filters to clean, or moving parts to break. Without engine oil level checks, oil changes or spark arrestor inspections, spend more time on doing what you like. Outdoors is the only safe place to operate a portable gas generator, keeping your family safe from toxic carbon monoxide. Since it doesn't emit any fumes you can use a solar generator anywhere, inside or out.

  • It's a great product, just not as an EPS (always connected Emergency Power Supply)
Style: DELTA 2 Max 2048Wh
It's a great product for what it's designed to do: act as a nearly silent standby power source. It's powerful and well-built, but has too many features for it to be used as I intended. I purchased this mainly as an EPS backup for our sump pump. After using it for one day, I can say with a high level of certainty that it's not a good idea. 1) It does NOT act as a simple pass-through. While your grid power is ON, if anything goes wrong with the EcoFlow's configuration, or inverter failure, misc. electronic failure, etc., it will no longer pass the power through to your pump. Grid power ON + EcoFlow issues = flooded basement. 2) The unit has a manual power switch. Again, when the unit is powered off, power is not passed through. 3) The unit has an AC toggle switch (also in the app). If the AC is toggled OFF, power is not passed through. 4) There's a device timeout. If power isn't drawn during the timeout, then the EcoFlow will time out and not pass power through. It can be set to "Never Timeout". 5) There's an AC timeout. If AC power isn't drawn during the timeout, then the EcoFlow will time out and not pass power through. It can be set to "Never Timeout". 6) Firmware upgrades will cause the unit to revert to the default settings. There's a notice indicating this when you upgrade the firmware. This morning, I upgraded the firmware. After the upgrade, the AC was toggled OFF. OFF is the default. I recognized this within 30 minutes of the firmware upgrade (the sump pit was nearly full). I toggled the AC back ON, then the pump ran. What if they decide to push a firmware upgrade out automatically? I believe the timeouts were also reset to default, which is less than "Never Timeout". The question I asked myself was, "How reliable is our grid power?" My answer is about 99.999%. In 15 years, we've been without power for about 12 hours total. The final question is: how reliable is the EcoFlow? Given the five points above, it's certainly under 99.999%. I'm plugging the pump back into the wall. ... show more

  • outstanding product that I highly recommend
Style: DELTA 2 Max 2048Wh
I recently acquired the EF ECOFLOW Portable Power Station DELTA 2 Max and it has been nothing short of a game-changer for my sailboat maintenance and outdoor adventures. As an individual who frequently works on a sailboat, the need for a reliable, robust power source is paramount, and this power station has exceeded all my expectations. Firstly, its impressive 2400W output and 2048Wh capacity have been instrumental in running a variety of equipment. From power tools essential for boat repairs to lighting that extends my working hours, it handles everything with ease. Moreover, I’ve even used it to power a small heater, which speaks volumes about its versatility and power. The rapid charging feature is another highlight. Being able to fully charge the power station in just about an hour is incredible, especially when time is of the essence. This feature has saved me a lot of time and hassle, allowing me to focus more on my work and less on power management. Its portability is a huge advantage. Despite its high power output, it’s compact enough to be carried around easily, which is crucial for someone who is constantly moving around on a sailboat or outdoors. Lastly, the durability and build quality are top-notch, ensuring that this power station can withstand the challenging marine environment. It feels robust and reliable, which is essential for any equipment used in such settings. In conclusion, the EF ECOFLOW Portable Power Station DELTA 2 Max is an outstanding product that I highly recommend. It’s a perfect fit for anyone in need of a powerful, fast-charging, and durable power source for outdoor activities or marine use. A solid 5-star rating from me! ... show more

  • Powerful, Fast, and Amazingly Well-Built
Style: DELTA 2 Max 2048Wh
I just received the DELTA 2 Max, and right out of the box it made a strong impression. The charging speed is the first thing that stood out to me. When I plugged it in for the first time, the percentage jumped so quickly that I actually double-checked the display. Getting to 80% in under an hour is not an exaggeration — it really does it. The overall build quality feels premium. The LFP battery chemistry was a major reason I chose this model, and even as a new owner, you can tell it’s designed for long-term durability. It gives a sense of confidence that you’re not buying something that will fade out after a handful of uses. I immediately tested it with several of my own devices — my computer setup, my monitor, some studio gear, a few household items — and it handled everything without even blinking. Seeing it push out clean power to multiple things at once reassures you that the 2400W rating is not just theory. The number of outlets also makes it practical; I never felt limited or cramped trying to plug in several items at the same time. The quiet operation is another pleasant surprise. When it’s charging, it’s barely noticeable. I had it sitting a few feet away, and it never became a distraction. The expandable capacity is also a smart feature. Even though I haven’t added extra batteries yet, just knowing that I can turn this into a much larger backup system if needed is a big plus. Overall, as a new owner, everything about this unit feels solid, fast, thoughtfully designed, and genuinely capable. It delivers exactly what I hoped for when I ordered it. ... show more

I can honestly say this has been an excellent solution for my family. It can power many household appliances, including refrigerators, washing machines, and more. It has been a tremendous help, and I can confidently say it’s an excellent product. I highly recommend it for both home and outdoor use. ... show more

  • Will Power a Gas Home Furnace for Hours
Style: DELTA 2 Max 2048Wh
This is enough to power a house-sized furnace blower for multiple hours (gas furnace, not electric, of course). We permanently keep it plugged in to our vaction house furnace to provide an automatic USB-like cutover when we are gone, to keep the house from freezing during shorter power outages. When the power is on, it powers straight through this unit to the furnace, without invovling the battery. It works great for that purpose; just be sure to set the AC output to "always on". Although it would only run the furnace continuously for 3 hours when the power goes out, the furnace does not run continuosly so this battery runs our gas furnace for about 7 hours in the winter keeping the temp at 70 when it is freezing outside; would probably run much longer if you were keeping the temp at 50. The free iPhone app that comes with it, allows us to see what is happening remotely when there is a power outage at an empty vacation home. Of course, you need to put another smaller version of this item on your WiFi system, to use like a USB on steroids, so it stays up and allows you to remotely monitor the house while the power is out. We bought the solar panels for backup, but we have not plugged them in to try them out yet. UPDATE: SEVERAL MONTHS AND POWER OUTAGES LATER: I read the review above, by "curt", complaining that this unit is not reliable. I would suggest that his complaints are "operator error". If you read the directions thoroughly (they are very good) you find out that most of the features time out if you do not set each one up to never time out. And, they do ask you every time before they do a software update and require an affirmative "yes" to begin (I never do the update remotely so I can check things out in person) and they do warn you when you begin a software update that you should re-set the features after the update. The default "timeout" on each output, was to preserve battery life if you are using it as a battery and not a USB. But the control software on your iPhone is very good, and if you READ THE INSTRUCTIONS you will know to toggle on all of the "never shut off" toggles. I tested this on my furnace many times by pulling the power cord when the furnace was running. Not even a hiccup. Also, we woke up one morning at the mountain home with news that a huge pine tree feel on a power line over night in the cold of winter. We didn't know, because the furnace switched over to this battery backup without any intervention, and we were still toasty warm in the morning although we had no lights. It kept us with heat long enough for the power to come back on later in the day. Another time, there was a scheduled power outage that was supposed to last for the whole day. We had to leave in the middle of the day before power was restored. We were able to log on remotely to this unit, to find out when power was restored later in the day (it shows you input and output wattage; when the input wattage is restored you know that you have power again). Read the instrutions. Du'oh. ... show more

  • Great easy to use power station for my pop-up tent trailer/RV
Style: DELTA 2 Max 2048Wh
Ordered this so I could power my pop-up tent trailer for trips longer than a weekend and as a backup generator for my pellet stove and sump pump for winter outages (but mostly for my RV). I only use about 250-300W per day on my pop-up...but even with my 210AH batteries I can only get ~4days before that batteries are below the 50% mark (told I should no discharge batteries below 50% to lengthen battery life. The problem is that I often go for 2 weeks and need the electric to run my gas fridge if nothing else (but also want to occasionally run the water pump as well. I don't want to rent a site with electric because they are 2x as expensive as a primitive (no hookup) tent site (there is a weird loophole what a popup is considered a tent even though my pop-up is 21' long and has a bathroom, shower, full kitchen, etc. just like a full RC). I had brought a small 2000W Honda generator which is very quite but ran into 2 problem: 1) the campground I use most frequently doesn't allow generators at all, and 2) instead of it taking about an hour or 2 to fully charge the battery the pop-up when into regular charging mode which is only 5A so a full charge would take over 10 hours of running the generator (apparently to not damage the battery) The ECOFLOW solves my problem in 2 ways: 1) it has a full 2000WHrs of power which should be enough to power my popup on its own for over 7 days (with another 4 from the trailer batteries), 2) It can fully recharge in less then 1.5hours using either AC or my Honda generator and then give me another 7 days. The recharge time for me is key as it means that for my next planned trip for 6 weeks I can either bring the generator to the men's room and plug it in for an hour, or go to a parking lot outside the campgroup and recharge with my Honda generator. I test with the Honda generator and it works just as expected. It took just a bit longer than I had hoped (1hr) only because the Honda was only able to source 13A continuously instead of 15A and I also wanted to go to 100% not 80%) I also am considering just getting a 200W or 400W solar panel that they sell and probably would not even need to recharge with AC or generator for the duration. Build quality is excellent and while the unit is heavy it's not that bad to carry with the 2 built in handles (with 2 people it's a snap) Very happy with this purchase and as a bonus it gives me piece of mind for the occasional power failures we get during the winter. While a bit pricey I think what you get is probably worth it and is a great solution for my situation. ... show more

  • Customer/product support non existent.
Style: DELTA 2 Max 2048Wh
So 1, like 2 million other Houston residents, lost power for several days after our most recent hurricane. I thought I was covered with my delta 2 max and dual fuel smart generator. I was wrong. I spent about 75% of the blackout drenched in sweat fighting to get the "smart" generator to cooperate with the delta 2 max. I had constant issues. The main problem being that the generator would rev up like it was about to send power to the delta but then zeroing out seconds later while still revving as if it was sending power. Constant 520 codes among others. It only worked about 1 of every 10 attempts. The "smart" feature that's supposed to run the dual fuel to charge the delta when it drops below a certain percentage worked 1 time in 5 days without power. Meaning waking up in the middle of the night to fight with it for an hour before I could get it to send any power and usually resulting only a partial charge before I had to fight it again in 100 degree 100% humidity weather. So completely disappointed in what was a major investment for myself and my family. Step in EcoFlow customer service. I called in the middle of the blackout on a particularly frustrating day and was shocked there was no one I could speak to that had any technical knowledge of the system. All the support agents don't even scratch the surface of technical support beyond checking for frayed wires. Extremely disappointing. I was told they'd escalate and send an email so I could enter product info and they'd have someone from technical support call and help me out with diagnosing the issue and warranty support. 3 full days later and nothing. Called back and just got off the phone with them and nothing has changed. No new information. No explanation, no timetable, nothing other than the same useless customer support experience I went through the first time. It's unbelievable that you can invest so much money into an emergency power system and receive zero technical support in a timely manner especially during a time of crisis. I'm currently still waiting on a callback. Think long and hard before you invest into this ecosystem. Their support is nonexistent in my experience. One of the worst I've ever dealt with. ... show more
