  • Perfect combination
I already have 2 of the EcoFlow Delta 1300's, but I have been waiting for a solar generator that has the coveted 2000/2000 combo (2000 watts and 2000wh) for quite a while. I have been a part of 2 "kickstarter" programs (ElecHive and Inergy) that have failed to meet those expectations due to multiple delays. Over a years worth of delays and growing. So I was SUPER excited to see that EcoFlow has come out with the Delta MAX. I ordered this 2016wh generator and 4 x 160 watt panel combo and it was at my door within a week. I open the boxes run my tests and everything is working better than expected right out of the gate. During my discharge testing it was awesome to see how much battery capacity the MAX has compared to the original Delta 1300. I was running around the house running all my appliances trying to discharge the unit. Refrigerator, coffee pot, microwave, heaters, blow dryer. I ran them all and still had juice left. I eventually had to hook it to my space heater and run it for an hour and a half to fully drain the unit. While the Delta 1300 is a great little unit, they have greatly improved it with the introduction of the MAX. Some notable improvements are: 1) 6 independent A/C outlets compared to the 6 shared outlets on the 1300. 2) The fan is quieter on the MAX and only runs when necessary. It also varies the speed dependent on temperature and output. 3) It is a true EPS (Emergency Power Supply). While I could technically use the 1300 for this purpose it wasn't really efficient in doing it, the MAX is. It actually bypasses and use the wall outlet until there is an outage and then automatically switches to generator power......Awesome! 4) Introduction of the app. It is pretty cool to be able to adjust some of the settings and functions of the unit from the phone. You can also turn on and off the outlets. The best part of the app is being able to do firmware updates as they come out. 5) It's expandable! I cannot stress the importance of having the ability to be able to expand the battery capacity of your system. Not only can you add extra batteries, but you can also add their 1800 watt smart generator to this unit as well. The generator is controllable in the app and talks with the solar generator to kick on and off at the levels that you set in the app, and it will do it AUTOMATICALLY....Awesome!! 6) Adaptive A/C charging. On the MAX there is a switch on the back that allows you to switch from fast charging to slow charging. The slow charging wattage is changeable in the app. This is a marvelous addition. I have a 1000 watt gas generator that I like to keep as an emergency use way to charge up the solar generator. Previously that gas generator was not sufficient enough to be able to charge my Delta 1300 because the Delta would pull more than 1200 watts to charge and it would trip my gas generator. That is not a problem with the adaptive charging switch as I can lower the threshold to what my gas generator can produce. There are some cons as compared to the Delta 1300: 1) Size and weight. Although to be fair, this is to be expected. Bigger capacity means bigger size. Even though it is bigger, it is still portable. Myself and the wife can pick this thing up and move it around to where we want it. I honestly feel that the MAX is the perfect scenario of size, capacity, and portability. 2) The app. It was a little confusing on how to get the unit synced up with the phone. After a few tries, I got it done and now it's second nature. Once I got the app up and running it made it worthwhile. I know app controlled solar generators are pretty much a new thing for all manufacturers, so some trial and error along the way are to be expected and I look forward to see where they will go with this as they improve the processes along the way. 3) No cover :( My little 1300 came with protective covers and I really like them. I am hoping that they will offer covers for these in the near future as they were given to some who were part of the KickStarter program. Solar Panels: I already had 4 -100 watt EF solar panel and I am ecstatic to add these 4 - 160 watt panels to the mix. The EF panels work exceptionally well. They have very good efficiency and they are foldable and portable, you can't ask for more. Overall.....I am super excited about this unit. As I said before, this unit has the perfect size, capacity, portability, adaptability, expandability and functionality. I do not think you can find a better all around solar generator for whatever you are going to use it for, whether it be camping, emergency use, small home backup or whatever your needs are. Needless to say, I already have my second unit on order and will be adding some batteries to both as well. ... show more

  • Stellar performance, one of the best apps I've ever used
Style: 10.8kWh (3.6kWh Power Station+2Extra Bat...
I would like to start out with the app which crosses over into the feature set. I'm an Android user and I find that most companies will focus more efforts on their iOS app; Android being "the red headed step child". That is NOT the case with Ecoflow. I can't speak to the iOS app, but their Android app is absolutely top notch. I would go so far as to say it's in the top 5 apps, as far as user experience goes, that I've ever used. Getting the device connected to WiFi, upgrading the firmware, and getting it set up is extremely intuitive, never had any issues or errors which are typical with other devices (not just power generators, but all devices that connect to WiFi). The intelligence to include a lower charge shut off and an upper charge shutoff tells me that they really considered the lifecycle of your investment. Additionally, you can limit the amount of wattage the devices charge at for their various charging methods, that's just going above and beyond in my opinion. You don't have to worry about tripping any breakers or anything like that. As far as hardware goes, they're pretty solid devices. From the rugged exterior and cables down to the quality of the LCD screen it's all very well built. I LOVE that they had the forethought to include the collabsable handle and wheels because these suckers are HEAVY. On that note, I wish they put hand holds in the box that they come in. Carrying something that heavy and awkwardly sized to get it in the house and unboxed is a bit of a pain. I aggravated a knee injury in the process; although I'm partly to blame for that one. Simple perforations in the sides of the box for the hand holds like many other manufacturers of large gear would go a long way. I'll close with their customer service. I happened to catch this on a bundle + a deal that included a grounding module. Apparently, during checkout with Amazon, there was a checkbox that I didn't check to opt in to this deal. When I contacted customer service, they pointed this out, but still asked me for my shipping address and sent me the grounding unit at no cost to me! Additionally, I've been contacted by them since receiving the bundle to make sure that I was all set and addressed the single question I had. I really ask that anyone reading this part goes back to the beginning of this paragraph and reads it again. When is the last time you got what you would consider even "adequate" customer service? When was the last time you got "good" or even "excellent" customer service? This is one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had if not THE best. I want to emphasize that they weren't annoying about it either. I simply had a voicemail one day from them stating that they were just checking in to see if everything was working OK and if I had any questions to give them a call back. A single voicemail. No emails, no multiple phone calls, just a voicemail. Point is, I wasn't being harassed. They just wanted to make sure that I was set with my investment. Delta Pro 9/10 EcoFlow App 10/10 EcoFlow Company 11/10 I'm docking the Delta Pro a point for 2 reasons (and this really applies to the extended batteries as well). One being they could've put a little more thought into the cumbersome nature of moving the box around, simple perforated hand holds in the outer carboard box would've rectified this. Also to that point, it would be nice to have a less conspicuous box. Anyone within viewing range could've easily looked up what EcoFlow offers and known these boxes were worth stealing. The second reason I dock a point is that I'd like included is some dust & water resistant covers for USB and AC outlets. To charge the device, there's a door that flips up (not spring loaded) so that's at least a little protected. These are going to be in my basement and there's going to be dust. I know they offer a pretty expensive cover for this reason but some removable rubber plugs I think is minimum as the cost of them justifies a little more forethought for protection of the power outputs. I have already recommended them to anyone I've talked with looking for a power station, generator, or reliable battery backup for important electronics. Just this past week a tornado went through our neighborhood and someone was looking for backup suggestions because their sump pump went out and their basement flooded. I recommended the Delta 2 (the Delta Pro is a bit overkill for a sump pump). ... show more

  • Order thru Amazon
Style: 3.6kWh extra battery
Perfect delivery. Perfect condition. Easily hooked into the Pro's within one minute. Let it charge and then go back into the app and do the update. I got the 2 Pros and 2 Smart batteries. I asked for a refund from EcoFlow for the manual Transfer Switch and upgraded to the Smart Wall Mount that instantly turns on 10 other selected breakers . With this Smart Wall Mount Transfer unit, it was best choice I made for Solar. Believe me, I studied all these YouTubers for over 18 months. Ecoflow is great to work with too. I set all 4 units in my home office. They are very quiet. Take this Marine's word, ditch the solar sales folks. Unbox and place on a wall opposite the outside power panel. Easy install. Solar or grid. I do keep my charge watts at only 400. That's a tiny switch on the back of the Pro's Ecoflow has videos on step by step too. For me, the Pros and Smart Batteries worked. Some day I hope to get 2 more Smart Batteries SO...I gotta start saving again. Semper Fi ... show more

  • Impressive Power
Style: 3.6kWh extra battery
I have been using the EcoFlow Delta Pro to power my home during peak times or for power outages and it hasn’t failed me. Easy to set up and the EcoFlow app makes it easy to quickly get a visual on the system. The extra smart batteries really takes this to another level. I have no buyers remorse!
