  • A Game-Changer Add-On for My Delta Pro, More Power, More Savings” A Game-Changer Add-On for My Delta Pro, More Power, More Savings”
Style: DELTA Pro Extra Battery
I absolutely love these EcoFlow units. This Delta Pro Extra Battery is no exception. I own several EcoFlow products, and they’ve consistently been at the top of my list compared to other brands I’ve tried. This extra battery connects to the Delta Pro easily. It is heavy, so you may want someone to help you move it, but the wheels make rolling it into place simple. It comes with a very solid, thick connection cable that attaches securely to the Delta Pro. The extra battery has given me a huge boost in runtime. We use our Delta Pro as part of a backup system with a transfer switch, and adding this battery has made everything work even better—especially during outages and peak-hour usage. We already have solar on the house, so pairing that with EcoFlow has actually helped us reverse our electric bill. Pretty amazing. One of my favorite things about EcoFlow is their app. It’s smart, reliable, and shows exactly how long you have left on your battery, how long it will take to charge, and the wattage each device is pulling. I also love that you can use third-party smart plugs in the EcoFlow app; I use Tapo plugs and they work great. You can set timers and manage everything right from your phone. Charging flexibility is another big win. Whether I plug it into a standard outlet or charge it through solar, it’s quick and efficient. I personally charge mine at a lower wattage, but it’s capable of charging much faster if needed. EcoFlow always has great deals, excellent customer support, and a dependable honor system. This extra battery was a must-have add-on for my home setup, and I’m thrilled with how much more power and freedom it gives me. A fantastic upgrade. ... show more

Style: DELTA Pro Extra Battery
Great capacity and performance. The extra 3600Wh significantly extends the DELTA Pro runtime, making it ideal for power outages, camping, or RV use. Solid build quality and easy to connect. The only downside is that it’s heavy and expensive, but it’s worth it.

  • Love it! Saving us money and providing power back up!
Style: DELTA Pro Extra Battery
FANTASIC! Easy to set up, plug & play. Reminder to store both the main unit and extra battery in a cool dark room. Keep ours in spare room next to window w window fan. They are sensitive to temps. Been using now for one year. Couple of power outages. Used for lights, cell phones, fans, and for our 1k portable AC in middle of Cali hot/dry summer when power went out as it always does around 4pm. Will run that AC for about 6 hrs on low and fully drains both the main and spare. In winter use for 200-watt Lasko mini heater, bathroom heater, heating pad and of course if power out. Have not used for fridge/chest freezer just yet, if outage more than 3-4 hrs will need to. Saving to get one more battery and one more bifacial glass panel. The folding portable that came with the main unit still works great in combo with the bifacial. For cleaning i hook up an RV water filter to hose, use the full or soaker setting-nothing else. Do not need a permit or electrician to tie these to the grid, nothing special just hook it all up, get the angle on the panels and boom start generating power! Be mindful that these types of batteries if not hooked up correctly or overheat and start a fire. ... show more

  • nice addition to the delta pro - dont forget fireware updates or errors will be reported on plug in
Style: DELTA Pro Extra Battery
We ordered a pair of the extra battery packs on the Fall prime day as we saved $400 on the prices we had been watching for a while. We've been using our ecoflo delta pro in a solo configuration for about a year with about 1550 watts of solar panels in our bedroom powering pretty much everything. No problems and the unit didn't break a sweat. The extra batteries provide a significant amount of power that will be most useful next Summer in the Texas heat when we have some plans for heavier loads. On arrival I found that one of the units reported errors but as it turned out, I had never updated the firmware on the delta pro and that was the cause. The units worked fine without the update in spite of one of the batteries reporting phantom errors. Ecoflow replaced one of the batteries before we realized what was going on. They covered the shipping. My only real concern is that if there ever is a hardware issue, its going to be expensive to ship back to California. In fact, any one of the items, whether it be a battery unit or the delta pro items, would likely be $200-300 for ground shipping so FYI but these are great units and I have no reason to think that I will have a problem that requires a trip home. Support was great and after an initial phone call, troubleshooting was handled by email. Emails came at overnight hours in the US so I presume support was outside of the US. Not a problem for me at this point. ... show more

  • Excellent addition to the Delta Pro with some drawbacks
Style: DELTA Pro Extra Battery
Not much to say as it's pretty obvious what this does: increases runtime quite a bit. If you are going to be away from a power source for a long time, simply charge up the Delta Pro with one of these attached. The build quality is great, there's a door on the top to stow the cable which is a nice touch. While not specific to the external battery, their app must be mentioned in every review, in my opinion. I'm an Android user and I find that most companies will focus more efforts on their iOS app; Android being "the red headed step child". That is NOT the case with EcoFlow. I can't speak to the iOS app, but their Android app is absolutely top notch. I would go so far as to say it's in the top 5 apps, as far as user experience goes, that I've ever used. The extra batteries do have a little bit to be desired, however. 1. It'd be nice if they added some non-proprietary power out on these. If I need to grab a power device and go, I have to take the Delta Pro as there aren't any usable outlets on the extra battery, which leaves any remaining extra batteries not charging or discharging. 2. It'd be nice if they added a way to charge the extra batteries directly rather than relying on the Delta Pro. Break: I realize both of these things sound like I'm asking them to turn them into a Delta Pro. To be clear, I'd like to see EITHER of these things, not necessarily both. And both of these would likely cause some issue with the battery balancing, but from what I've seen, they have the tech to balance everything out. Essentially, if you have 2 extra batteries and your Delta Pro dies for whatever reason, the extra batteries become worthless until you replace your dead Delta Pro; dead meaning hardware failure 3. This bit is probably more of a Delta Pro thing than an extra battery thing, but the fact that you can only upgrade firmware via one port is a bit annoying. I'm not sure why this is the case 4. If 1 & 2 won't be done, I don't see the need for an LCD screen on the extra battery. It does have good info on it, similar to that of the Delta Pro, but you still have the Delta Pro screen and the app for informational purposes. I don't know how much this contributes to the BOM, but I generally don't view it as an absolute necessity 5. Not sure how they'd pull this one off but these cables are BEEFY. Makes sense as they're capable of 1800W so at 120V, that's 15A. However, the cables quite literally dictate the location of all things attached. 2 batteries? Delta Pro in the middle flanked by the extra batteries. I'd like to see an option for a smaller gauge cable and that would limit the charging wattage as needed. Longer cable options would be nice as well, again with limiting the charging wattage as you'll have voltage drop the longer the cable drops. All units have heat exhaust fans that, when looking at the front of the unit, exhaust out the right side. So the required configuration means that 2 of your 3 units are exhausting heat towards each other. It's just limiting overall. Longer and/or more flexible cables would allow more flexibility 6. This is the big one. Why not put another connection on the back like the Delta Pro? You can add another battery and just keep daisy-chaining the batteries for (theoretically) unlimited runtime. Not that your average person would need that, but why not? Overall, these are pretty expensive, still less expensive than the Delta Pro, but I think adding a little bit more usefulness in them would be a good idea as they are 100% reliant on a functioning Delta Pro. ... show more

  • Jack of All Trades
Style: DELTA Pro Extra Battery
My Delta Pro +extra battery wears several hats. Though I originally purchased this item to provide power to my RV while dry camping, I discovered that I could also connect this unit to the manual transfer switch I had already installed on my house to supply emergency power for my house for a few hours instead of using my gas generator. I prefer this method to using the gas generator because it is quieter and quicker and easier to start up and get going. So far, I have yet to have a power outage last longer than the capacity of my Delta Pro +extra battery but I am prepared just in case. In addition to this, I have four 400W solar panels connected full time to my Delta Pro to help keep down my energy costs. Connected to my manual transfer switch, I was able to do this without going through the expense of hiring an electrician to install a grid tie inverter. Instead, through the manual transfer switch, I am able to supplement my home electrical with approximately 7kw per day which saves me about $50-$60 per month on my electric bill. Not huge but not bad for using something I already owned that would be otherwise be sitting in a box between camping trips or power outages. Also, the Ecoflow app allows me to set up a "backup reserve" which enables me to utilize every single watt of solar power generated while not allowing my battery to be depleted beyond a certain level in case it is needed in an emergency. Absolutely brilliant! BTW, I found the 400w solar panels for about $180 each so that cost will be made up in just a matter of months instead of years with a full install. Overall, I am very happy with the flexibility and usability of the Delta Pro system. My only gripe is the incompatibility with other items in the Ecoflow lineup and the short proprietary cable necessary to connect the extra battery to the Delta Pro. Come on guys! If you can't come up with a non-proprietary solution, at least provide a longer cable that connects at a 90 degree angle so it doesn't take up so much room in the back. I'd even pay extra for it if it were available as an accessory. Other than that, this is a solid unit that I hope will provide years of faithful service. ... show more
