Beware!!! I have been so happy to get it and when I actually needed it in a regular rain it broke within first 5 minutes of usage. I have got my money back thanks to Amazon. Seller asked me to remove the negative feedback and wanted to give me a gift card in return. Very much like this style of umbrella. On the very first use of this umbrella in a heavy rain & wind, the wind flipped it, and two ribs popped out of their sockets. Can't just re-insert the ribs -- the plastic sockets broke. Umbrella is now useless, one side flaps down.question Revised February 2020. After I reported the above, the mfr sent a replacement umbrella. Have used it over the past half year in rain storms with strong winds, 30 - 40 mph. Some common sense is still required, don't open opposite the wind. However, overall it works fine. It is lasting longer than other umbrellas I have had. Product improvement suggestions a) put a spacer between the top fabric cover and the bottom cover. On my umbrella, these were stuck together! b) bigger stronger sockets to hold the ribs in place. ... show more

I've had lots of umbrellas in my 65 years of life, and this seems to be one of the best. I love the size of it both when folded and unfolded. The first time I hit the button, the umbrella hung up a bit and didn't unfold all the way. But I'm sure it was a fluke from being packaged and waiting for a new home for months. It's has worked flawlessly every tine since. The 58" canopy provides plenty of protection from the rain. And the venting will help with wind gusts trying to destroy it. Like the instructions say, open it facing "into" the wind. Otherwise, you're just asking for trouble while it's opening up. It seems very well made. Time will tell. If you buy one, be sure to register it with the company within 30 days. I almost missed that mark. If you do, the umbrella has a lifetime warranty against defects. ... show more

UPDATE: Contacted seller asking about getting replacement tips, and was offered a new item at no charge. Excellent customer service, added two stars. I will glue the new ones in place! Good size, collapses reasonably well, seems sturdy, but if the threads which go around the rib tips happen to loosen, the tip falls off and there's no way to re-attach the fabric to the rib. It would be simple to install spares, but you can't buy them and it stinks to toss an umbrella because a rib cap fell off. Used 5 or 6 times, almost new, return window is closed. ... show more

The BEST umbrella I’ve ever purchased. I live in Florida, so I try to keep one in every vehicle we have (4), as well as one by the front door, one in the garage, one by our back porch, one at work and one in my daughter’s school backpack. Yes, we have a lot of umbrellas because it rains a lot in Florida. Unfortunately, none of them have lasted. They break, stop opening, don’t cover enough, fold over when it’s windy, etc. I’ve spent a lot of money on what I thought were good quality and expensive umbrellas. However, I’m really happy with the quality and coverage of this umbrella. It folds downs with ease, it covers two adults, it folds to half the size. No problems withstanding winds or heavy rains. I’ve owned it for over 7 months and decided to wait to post my review because I wanted to share my experience. This is hands down the BEST umbrella I’ve ever purchased. I've bought this umbrella 6 months ago. When I've received it, the umbrella looks very nice and very good quality. But after 6 months of usage, the seams of the umbrella start to come off, also the branches of the umbrella also come off the umbrella.

This is a high quality umbrella which is exactly as represented by the seller. It is constructed of what appears to be very good quality components, opens fast and smoothly, and seems very rugged, so it should hold up in storms with wind gusts. I've not used this yet in the strong, sideways wind that occurs where I live, but the vented canopy is impressively designed and very sturdy. I can not yet speak to the durability, but this is without a doubt the most sturdy, high quality umbrella that I have ever owned. I can highly recommend this EEZ-Y 58" Folding Umbrella, that is portable enough to have in the car and will easily cover two people. P.S.
