I wanted to upgrade my kitchen, and was stopped by the cost of new cabinets. So I decided that I would try my hand at painting. And then discovered that the front of my cabinets were pretty beat up, lots of chips in the cabinet door veneer, which of course needed to be addressed before painting. At first I tried wood putty, but it just didn’t look right, lots of bumps and looked super janky. I did some research and found this product. I ordered it and it shipped within a couple of days. I basically measured the section of cabinet door I wanted to cover. I washed the door with spic and span, dried it, and then using very sharp scissors, measured and cut out the section I wanted to use. The veneer cut pretty much like cardboard. I carefully peeled off the backing, aligned the top two corners and gently pressed it to the front of my cabinet door. It is basically like a giant Post-it note. But the adhesion is industrial-strength! I replaced a total of three cabinet door faces, and one drawer. I then primer it and painted the doors. They look absolutely amazing! In fact it is very difficult to tell which of the veneers are the ones I replaced. I highly recommend this. For the cost of this product, plus a gallon of primer & a gallon of paint, I have a brand-new kitchen (total cost for my project was under $200) and it looks like I spent thousands. ... show more

I didn’t realize until after I ordered that there is a quartersawn oak version but this looks great on the ends of my cabinets. Now my kitchen looks a little more finished for a fraction of the price. Installed by making a paper template and cutting to size with a box cutter. 96” was enough for two cabinet end panels. I used degreaser before applying. There is one small bubble near the bottom of one of the panels that doesn’t want to stay down but I’m hoping since it’s near the baseboard it will not spread. ... show more

I was redoing a dresser that had fooled me into thinking the top was real wood. It was not and I had no choice but to use veneer which I never had before. I wanted something as easy as possible so I looked for self adhering. It came with no instructions so be sure to look up tips and tricks if you are new to it. It came in a roll that I unrolled, flipped over, and set the drawers on over night to flatten it. The thing that impressed me the most was how well the top and sides blended when I sanded the whole thing with a sanding block. It's like the seams just went away and it looks like one cohesive piece. The scraps were perfect for testing stain colors. I will say this particular one has a heavy grain which some may not want. I tried this product twice the first time I thought the error was my fault so I tried again using very thin code sustain, and the product still buckled, was disappointed due to the cost of the product that this happened.

I will start by saying this was very easy use. My table is 54”X54”. I ordered two 24” wide pieces thinking it would be easier to handle and I would have to start off cutting it in half. For my project, I most likely should have ordered the 48”X96” so the wood grain would be more cohesive. I opened and applied the first piece. I was absolutely thrilled at the beautiful grain! I wanted something with a lot of character and this was just perfect. Upon opening the second piece, I was way less thrilled. It looked complete different. Not even similar. I had no expectations of it being the same grain, but as you can see in the pictures, it doesn’t even look like the same wood. Since I wave been working on this for so long, I went ahead and applied it, instead of sending it back, waiting another couple of weeks for another piece. The more I look at it, the more upset I get. I do plan on reaching out directly to the company. Maybe they could send another piece, but for now, my review is a 3, only because this stuff is so easy to use, and it really is pretty. Even the piece that doesn’t match is nice, although the first piece is better in my opinion. Hopefully this will get resolved and I can come back with a 5 star review. ... show more
