I really like this hat. I haven’t worn it during summer yet so I don’t know how well it will do but I’m optimistic it will be great. It’s very light weight and the nylon material is very soft. I normally wear hats that are 7 1/4 or slightly larger so I purchased the small/medium. It fits me great. It snug enough that it doesn’t fall all the way to the top of my ears but it loose enough that I can pull it down further on my head without any problem. To give you a better idea when I put on the hat I can still easily fit four fingers between the sweat band and my head. What I really like about this hat is the softness of the brim. Some of these polyester/nylon sun hat have a semi-rigid brim when takes up more space when packing. This brim is soft and pliable so the hat could easily fit into a cargo pocket, purse, or small backpack. Also, if you are wearing a pack the back of the brim can easily fold out of the way while hiking. The top of the hat is just a thin nylon fabric which should breath well but if you are bald and in direct sun light for a long time you might still get burned. ... show more
