My girl can be hard to catch in the winter in 24/7 turnout, but her halter was leaving rubs. This fully eliminated the rubbing. Pieces can be removed for easy washing. They dry quickly so you don't get fungus or anything if you horse plunges it's whole face into a water trough or they get rained on. My gelding's skin is very sensitive so I bought two sets and change them to clean and dry as needed, which is surprisingly not that often as he wears them every day for turnout. He has a small head so i trimmed a couple pieces a bit. They are helping him so well worth the money for me.

You really don't think about fuzzies being scary, but the fact that these are black, and very very thick and fluffy, seemed to disqualify them for my horse! They are deliciously soft and feel great, but he will never know that. He won't let me put the halter on with these installed. I'm going to try putting them on when the halter is already on him...but I don't think it will work. He is totally afraid! White ones do not cause this issue, BTW. Weird. ... show more

It's just the fleece, there is no halter. When I looked at the halters online for less money and saw this item I assumed it came with a halter as well when I saw the word "set". My wife's horse said he would order it again!
