These are great socks for travel, they're quick drying and easy to manually wash. I took three pairs on a two-week trip to Indonesia during the rainy season and was pleased with how quickly they dried, even in the extremely humid environment. Be ware, the socks are more porous than common cotton socks, so sand tends to go through the sock faster than with cotton. These were great for a few days, but after wearing these for a few days, I noticed that a hole had formed by one of my toes - As ususal, these are a great example of the "You get what you pay for" idiom. I liked how much they let my feet breathe, but if they're so delicate that they can't be worn for a few days without getting a hole in them... How long would it take for these socks to develop holes at the balls and heels of my feet? My advice is that you spend your money on longer lasting socks that cost $15 per pair made by bigger linen companies. ;-) ... show more

I bought these socks to be light and airy and not hold in foot heat and they are exactly as I wanted them to be. They help wick the foot sweat away from my foot and do not hold in heat. I am thankful for their properties. They are also very strong yet they are not Itchy or scratchy
