This is a really nice kit, you get a lot of variety to test out what you like to use. Some of the quantity was off I was missing 2 lobster claps but even so you do get a lot with this. I got this set so I could extend some of the chains of my necklaces. This set won't work for me because the color is very yellow, more yellow than any of my current chains. Even through these won't work for me, now that you know the image is a true color, you can make a decision if it will work for your projects. It's convenient to have a wide range of chain sizes and textrues. I'll likely use these for dangling earrings along with a few stones. And I'll use them for crystal suncatchers. For the price, this is a good starter assortment of chains and accessories. It's nice to have a wide selection of chains (even if there's ones that I can't see myself ever using), jump rings and lobster clasps so you can get started making necklaces with pretty much just the items in the kit. The quality seems about what you'd expect for the price - it's not terrible, but it's not great either. I think it'd perfect for my daughter and myself to learn more about making necklaces but I would probably buy something a little nicer if I was going to make one as a gift. One of the chains had a little discoloration on it right out of the box so I'm not convinced these are actually stainless steel. Over, a good starter set for the price. ... show more

This is a great assortment of chain. You get a lot of chain for the money. You could use it for necklaces or crafts, but the kit does include the jump rings lobster clasps, and connectors for making jewelry. It’s very light weight chain. You can tell that it’s not the highest quality. When you’re using it in crafts, it doesn’t really matter once you pour resin over it. ... show more

I spent 5 hours counting all the chains. "Why?" you ask. Because I was supposed to get 10 ball connectors but I only got 8. When there is a shortage of something I always look to see if there is a shortage anywhere else in the product. Fortunately there wasn't. In fact, instead of 100 5mm jump rings I got 105. Instead of 100 6mm jump rings I got 104. I also measured how long each chain was. I kind of knew that the bigger chains would not be as long as the fine chains, and I was right. All the thin chains were 8, 9, and 10 feet while the bigger chains were 3, 6 and 7 feet. They totaled 95.125 feet. Only one chain with 3 links were discolored. The claim is that these chains are stainless steel. I know that occasionally there are flaws in anything that is made, no matter what material, there will be flaws. The 4 star rate instead of 5 stars was due to the missing two ball connectors. In business you can always have too many but never, ever, too few. Now I can only make 8 key-rings instead of 10, that is my loss. I still recommend these chains to all jewelry artists. ... show more
