This is my review of the ECOLipak 6-inch Compostable Square Paper plates. What I liked... The plates are very sturdy and quite thick According to the seller, it will compost from 3 to 6 months I tested the plates with a greasy plantain and the grease did not go through I also tested the plate by cutting a PB & J sandwich and it did not go through Bagasse and bamboo are the ingredients of the plate, dry pulp fibrous material that remain after crushing sugar cane to extract their juices The bottom of the plate is a bit rough which is great as it will not slip off a table or out of your hand I used the plate in the microwave, and it held up very well as I heated up a small portion of lasagna; there were no issues with it What I did not like... The plates measure approximately 6.25 inches in diameter; however, the central area is a mere 3.25 inches, offering limited space suitable only for items like a slice of ice cream cake, a few cookies, some donuts, or a modestly sized meal Conclusion... Ordering the 8-inch plates would have been more suitable for my various needs ... show more

Small sturdy plates. Great price for the number you get. Because they are square not round they fit in the cabinet. The tilted sides keeps food in and toward the middle. Will buy these again
