I was using another fanny and it was sufficient. But not large enough due to the fact I have to carry emergency meds for all 3 kids. (Anti seizure meds, nebulizer, inhalers etc. I love this bag and all its compartments and storage. And the strap pouch is perfect for my go to items like phone, keys, cards and chapstick. It would be perfect if it had card holders on the inside of the front pouch.

I really wanted to like this bag. This is my first try at a "sling type bag. It has some nice features and details, but missed the mark for what I need. First the positives. Its lighter weight and less bulky than ones I compared. I ordered 5 total bags to compare. My criteria was it has to fit a regular size iPad, not be too bulky and needed to be comfortable to wear, easy access to compartments. This bag has 2 (!) side stretchy holders that can actually fit a real water bottle and has cords that tighten to secure it. I could put a phone in the other side (S24 is a big phone) for easy access. You could also fit a travel umbrella. The front panel gives vertical zipper access on either side to 2 compartments that go across the whole panel but they are separated by a panel of fabric between so you could fit a phone there and a wallet or papers to keep them separate. My regular iPad fit in the main compartment with room to shove in a jacket. Front zipper compartment would hold stuff I'd carry in a purse, a notebook, ipad mini, other stuff. Theres a back side zipper compartment that is the right size for passport, or other things you want to keep secure against your body. I like that the zipper runs vertically, so you can access without removing the pack. The negatives - the compartment they stick on the shoulder strap was interesting. It "barely" fit my S24 phone - I would not use it for a phone. Access was not easy. It seemed like an afterthought There is a snap to secure it to the shoulder strap but when I took that packet off there was no place to resnap and secure the dangling strap. The part of the strap that is not padded is thin and doesn't pull tight enough for me. (I'm a small woman). The connection where you can switch the straps to either side seems like it would not hold up its all plastic. I did not find it comfortable to carry around at a convention all day or hike with it. Its almost great - put some thought into comfort and drop the gimmicky phone thing on the strap. Also the locking zipper thingy isnt useable.

I am into bags because they are very useful in carrying things (who knew, right?). I have many, many bags for all the occasions in life and for all the "just-in-case" scenarios you have to be ready for. This bag is light weight and easy to pack full of things needed for EDC for a walk around town. It is easy to load up with essentials in our concrete jungle for a half day or so. If you do some light trail walking - not what I would call hiking - this is a solid choice. If this is something you want for an EDC that doesn't scream "tacticool" then this is a bag for you. Yeah...I get some looks some times because I am a big 6'3" dude well north of 300 lbs who carries this man purse...but at least it is better than a fanny pack! So far after several weeks of light duty use it has held up. The shoulder strap and pad is a little scratchy and I adjust it pretty regularly but because the pack is small and not carrying a lot of weight the strap doesn't dig in too badly. If I decide this is my every day man purse then I will probably get a pad for the shoulders strap. One cool feature of the strap though is that it has a cool little pouch that can fit some cell phones or keys or a pocket knife etc. This pack, at least at the time I write this, is priced well. It is on sale pretty often from what I can see and there are coupons frequent enough. I might get an extra pack one of these days I like this one that much but I will have to see how well this one holds up after a couple months of use. Always load up on quality gear if you can find it at a quality price!
